We join with you in prayer in Jesus' mighty name and bring all of these burdens before the throne of grace together, for our God both sees and hears.
We have heard your cry after these long months of waiting without communication, remorse, or repayment, and we understand how heavy and discouraging this has been. To have endured problems in your apartment from lack of electrical safety, to have suffered illness and ongoing skin affliction, to have paid for a technician and for the house electricity system which was not your responsibility as a tenant, to have paid for alternative shower facilities, and then to be met with threats and inappropriate actions and the withholding of your security deposit and repair costs, is a deep injustice. We stand with you in asking the Lord for what is right and owed to be restored.
The Word reminds us that Yahweh loves justice and does not forsake his saints, Psalm 37:28, and that it is joy to the righteous to do justice, Proverbs 21:15. It is written, You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him, Leviticus 19:13, and again, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. We do not pray for vengeance in bitterness, but we do pray for justice, for truth to be revealed, and for those who have authority over you to act honestly. We pray that the Holy Spirit would indeed awaken and stir the conscience of your landlord and also of the community house manager, to convict them of what is right, to bring repentance, and to move them to do good and to repay everything they owe. We pray that any hardness of heart would be softened and that they would choose integrity over evasion. We also pray for your heart, that the Lord would guard you from growing bitter while you wait, and help you to walk in forgiveness even as you seek what is just, as we are taught, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, Ephesians 4:32.
We lift up your practical needs to our Father who provides. We ask Him to move on your behalf for the full return of your security deposit and every repair cost you paid, for compensation for your suffering, for the costs of alternative shower facilities, and for all that was wrongfully withheld, and we ask Him to grant you wisdom and favor as you pursue what is rightfully yours, whether through continued appeal or through lawful and godly counsel. We pray that He would open doors for clear communication and a swift and fair resolution, for we know men ought always to pray, and not to faint, Luke 18:1, and that Yahweh will surely bring justice to his chosen who cry out to him day and night, Luke 18:7.
We also bring your body before the Lord our Healer. We are so sorry for what your skin has endured and for the pain and distress of knowing healing may take years. We pray with faith for your complete healing and restoration. We pray the Lord will heal the damaged areas, rebuild what was harmed, and restore your skin and health according to His mercy. We cling to His promises, who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:15. We ask for His comforting presence to ease your discomfort, to give you peace in the waiting, and to strengthen you each day.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come together and ask for Your justice and Your mercy to meet in this situation. We ask that You would stir the hearts of the landlord and the manager to repent and to act with honesty and to repay all that is owed without further delay. We ask that You would provide for our dear one financially and protect from further threats or wrongdoing. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon the skin and body that has been injured, and bring full restoration in Your time. We ask that You would guard this heart from anxiety and fill it with Your peace which surpasses all understanding, as we make our requests known to You with thanksgiving, Philippians 4:6-7. Help us to trust You while we wait, to rest in Your perfect justice and unfailing love, and to continue to seek You first. We pray all these things in the holy and powerful name of Jesus, our only Savior and our access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, Acts 4:12, and in whom we have confidence to approach Your throne. Amen.
