Beloved of All
Your long season of waiting and suffering has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and find salvation.
We pray that God, who loves justice and mercy, will work in the conscience of your landlord and of the house manager. We ask that the Holy Spirit will stir them to see what is right, to speak truthfully, and to do what is just by returning what is owed, the security deposit and the costs you paid for repairs that were not your responsibility to bear. We pray that where there have been threats and harsh actions, there will be repentance and a turning toward what is good and honest. As you have waited for nearly three months without answer, we pray for perseverance for you, and that you will not be overcome by bitterness. Scripture teaches us that God mingles justice with mercy, and calls us even when we suffer to show consideration and to leave judgment in His hands while still seeking what is fair and right.
We also bring before the Lord your body and your health. We pray for healing of your skin where it has been damaged and for the restoration of what has been harmed, and for relief from the illness that followed. God knows the body He created, and we ask Him in His compassion to bring healing in His time and according to His wisdom. While bodily suffering weighs heavily, we pray that you will be strengthened in your inner life as well, for the exercise of godliness and trust in Christ profits both now and for eternity, and keeps the heart steady when the body is weak.
We will continue to pray with you, even as you have asked again and again. Hearing the same prayer continually is not in vain, for it deepens our dependence on God and keeps our hearts attentive to Him. We ask that He will give you humility and patience in this trial, that He will provide for your daily needs including a safe place to live and to wash, and that He will let His justice and kindness be seen. May the Lord grant you peace as you wait on Him, and may He move those who owe you to act honestly and promptly.
