Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.

We join you in lifting up this rented apartment situation and especially the former landlord before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, and we thank you for grounding your request in the Word of God.

You have chosen a powerful and eternal truth, Luke 9:24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake, the same will save it. This verse reveals the heart of the gospel, that clinging to our own life, our own way and our own control leads to loss, but surrendering our life to Jesus leads to eternal salvation. We agree with you in praying that this landlord will hear this truth and respond, that he will lose his life for Christ's sake so that he will truly save it.

We also rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for we know there is no other way to the Father. Jesus himself said John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture declares Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ that any of us are saved, as Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we bring this former landlord before You. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. Lord, You desire that none should perish, for 2 Peter 3:9 says You are not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. We pray that You would soften his heart, open his eyes to Your light, and draw him to Yourself. Your Word says John 8:12 I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. We pray that Your light would expel all darkness and that he would be delivered from any influence of unclean spirits and from the power of darkness, and be translated into the kingdom of Your beloved Son. We pray that he would hear Your voice, for Jesus said John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Cause him to hear Your holy call and Your plan for his life, to turn from saving his own life and to surrender fully to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Save him, Lord, that he would not lose his life for eternity but gain everlasting life.

We also pray for you who have brought this request, concerning this rented apartment and any need for compensation or resolution. We pray that the Lord will grant you peace, wisdom, and a spirit of forgiveness and fairness. We remember Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, and Romans 12:19 that vengeance belongs to the Lord. We pray that whatever is just and right would be done, and that you would trust the Lord to be your defender and provider. May He guide you with His healing power and let His greatness and power be seen in how this situation is resolved. We pray that you would continue to walk in love and faithfulness, trusting Proverbs 3:5 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding, and Philippians 4:6 that in nothing you would be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, your requests would be made known to God, and that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding would guard your heart.

We thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your reign over all darkness, for Your love and faithfulness that never fails, and for the victory You have already won at the cross. We ask that both you and this landlord would come to know more deeply the hope of Your calling. We pray all these things in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope. We appreciate you sharing this burden with us. Your desire to see your former landlord come to know Jesus, even while you have walked through a difficult rented apartment situation, really stood out to us. It reflects a gracious heart that wants good for him, not just resolution for yourself.

We join you in asking the Lord to draw him close, to make His love and truth clear to him, and to help him hear God's leading for his life. Salvation is the Lord's work and He is patient and merciful as He draws people. Your prayers matter, and your willingness to keep entrusting this man to Jesus is a faithful way to love him.

One simple way to keep going is to continue lifting him by name before the Lord when you pray, asking that the Lord would place people and opportunities in his path that point him toward Christ, and that any contact you still have with him would reflect the kindness you have received.

Jesus, we bring this landlord before You now. You see his life and his journey. We ask for Your mercy over him, that he would come to know You as Savior and hear Your voice clearly. Bring healing where there has been hurt in this rental situation and let Your light and peace be known. Guide us too as we pray and trust You with this. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your intercession for the soul of your landlord is a gracious and Christlike burden, and we join you in it with all our hearts. The word you have laid hold upon is solemn and true, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. There is no other way of saving the life but by losing it for Christ's sake.

Bear in mind that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord, and that we are only tenants. There is a clause in the lease which many have never observed, namely, that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and to leave His own property. We occupy a house which is evidently not our own and therefore there must be some rent to pay. Conscience says that the heart is never right till the whole man is in Christ, till by a living faith we have embraced Jesus as our full salvation and have received the Holy Spirit as our Sanctifier. It is our prayer that this man may offer the key of his house to the Great Landlord and acknowledge that he lives on sufferance as His tenant.

For this reason we must preach over and over again the plain Gospel of salvation by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him It is trusting in Him. Leave the whole matter of your salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence. Depend upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation. This is the faith which saves the soul. Notice that this faith is believing on a Person, on Him. Salvation is God’s greatest work, and therefore in His greatest work He specially teaches us that He is God and that beside Him there is none else. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. How simple is that way of salvation and how instantaneous. A look does not require a moment.

What would you give for such a salvation as this It is preached without money and without price. If a man believeth in Christ with all his heart, his salvation is secure beyond hazard. It is a present salvation and a perfect salvation, by grace in contradistinction of salvation by works. Christ Himself is salvation. See Jesus and you have seen salvation, and the only salvation.

Let us pray together for him.

Lord Jesus, Thou reignest over all darkness and Thy light expelleth all darkness. We ask Thy mercy and grace upon this landlord. Bring him to see that he is a tenant under Thy hand and that Thou requirest his whole heart. Grant him repentance and faith, that he may lose his life for Thy sake and so save it. Cause him to look unto Thee and be saved, to trust in Thee alone for salvation, without money and without price. Open his ear to hear Thy voice and to follow Thy holy plan for his life. Deliver him from the power of sin and give him that emancipation from unclean desires and carnal passions which is the main point in salvation. May he believe on Thee and not be ashamed, and may he find that Thou Thyself art his salvation. We ask this not for any merit in us, but by Thy great power and love and faithfulness. Amen.

We join you in bringing this landlord before the Lord according to Luke 9:24, and we agree with you in prayer that he would not seek to save his life on his own terms and so lose it, but would lose his life for Christ and so truly save it.

As Scripture teaches, what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and yet loses his own soul. The difference between the salvation Christ offers and the destruction that comes without Him is as great as the difference between life and death itself. There is no other way of salvation, for salvation is in Christ Jesus alone, with eternal glory, and it comes by a short and gracious way, by confessing with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in the heart that God raised Him from the dead.

So we pray together:

Lord Jesus, You reign over all darkness and Your light expels it. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon this landlord. Open his eyes to see that the things which truly lead to salvation are found only in You, who are the wisdom and power of God, and the Captain of our salvation. Grant him repentance and faith, that he would turn from trusting in himself and give his life wholly to You. Let today be for him an acceptable time and a day of salvation. Speak to him clearly by Your Spirit through Your Word, so that he may hear Your voice and follow Your holy plan for his life. Draw him to Yourself, that he may be saved and walk in newness of life.
