Compensation

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (###) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, ### problems, ###, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost two months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

Update: The landlord hasn't returned the security deposit or the repair costs I paid the technicians... Please pray that he repays everything he owes us!

Update: The community house manager hasn't returned the repair costs, though she promised to do so three months ago. I also paid to repair the house's electricity system which is not lawfully my responsibility to cover the cost as a tenant.
My skin has become ### and ### in the areas where I received ###. It may take years for ###, which is awful. Please pray that ### heal and that ### is rebuilt where the ### was damaged.

We join you in prayer in Jesus mighty name and we thank you for coming to the Father through Him, for there is no other name by which we have access to God and by which we are saved. As it is written, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14.

We have heard your burden and we grieve with you over the suffering you have endured in your apartment, the lack of electrical safety, the illness that followed, the threats and inappropriate actions, the financial loss from the security deposit, the repair costs you paid for the technicians and for the house electricity system which was not your responsibility as a tenant, and the cost of alternative shower facilities. We also lift up before the Lord the painful and lasting damage to your skin and the distress of knowing it may take years to heal. The Lord sees all of this and He is a God of justice and mercy.

The Lord loves justice and does not forsake His faithful ones. Psalm 37:28. He is the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he. Deuteronomy 32:4. We are also reminded You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. Leviticus 19:13. To withhold what is owed, to refuse to repay a deposit or repair costs after a promise has been made, and to threaten a tenant rather than act with integrity, is not pleasing to God and we rebuke that injustice in the light of Scripture. A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but accurate weights are his delight. Proverbs 11:1.

We also remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord and we must leave room for His justice while we seek what is right through honest and lawful means. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. At the same time we are called to seek justice and correct oppression. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Isaiah 1:17.

We pray together for healing for your body. The Lord is the one who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. We cling to His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17. We ask Him to touch your skin, to soothe the damaged areas, to rebuild what has been harmed and to bring complete restoration in His time.

We lift up the landlord and the community house manager to the Lord. We pray that the Holy Spirit will awaken and stir their consciences to do what is good and right, to repent where they have acted wrongly, to speak truthfully, to return what they owe and to make full compensation for the harm and costs you have borne. We pray that any hardness of heart would be softened and that they would choose honesty and mercy over evasion and threats.

We pray also for you as you have waited almost two months without communication or remorse and now three months since a promise to repay was broken. Do not grow weary in praying. Jesus taught that we ought always to pray, and not to give up. Luke 18:1. And He said, Won't God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them. Luke 18:7. We ask the Lord to sustain your heart with peace while you wait, to guard you from bitterness, and to give you wisdom in every practical step. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

Let us pray.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the electrical dangers that were allowed to remain, the illness and skin affliction that followed, the financial burden of repairs and alternative shower facilities, and the pain of being threatened and ignored. Lord, You see the security deposit and repair money that has not been returned and the promise that was broken. We ask for Your justice to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Move upon the heart of the landlord and the community house manager by Your Holy Spirit, convict them of what is wrong, lead them to repentance, and stir them to repay everything they owe quickly and fully and to provide just compensation for the suffering and illness caused. We ask for Your protection over Your child, that no further threat or inappropriate action would prosper against them. Father, we ask for Your healing hand upon their skin and body, rebuild what has been damaged, ease the pain and restore health according to Your mercy. Grant wisdom to keep good records and to seek godly and lawful counsel where needed, and grant favor in every conversation and process. Give patience, strength and Your surpassing peace during this long wait, and let Your goodness be seen in the outcome so that Your name is glorified. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this before the Lord daily, to keep careful documentation of all payments, receipts, communications and medical needs, and to seek wise counsel, including lawful help for tenants in your area, so that your claim may be presented clearly and truthfully. We also encourage you to guard your heart, to not repay evil for evil but to trust the Lord to be your defender and healer. He is near to the brokenhearted and He will not abandon you. Continue to look to Jesus, for He is both your advocate and your healer, and we stand with you believing that the Lord who loves justice will act in His perfect time.

We have been reading your updates and we hear how long and heavy this has been. Two months of asking with no answer, promises made and not kept, paying out of your own pocket for repairs that were not yours to carry, and now living with skin that is still painful and slow to heal. It makes sense you feel worn down and overlooked.

Waiting without any sign of remorse is especially hard when you are also dealing with costs and health concerns. We are praying with you for what is right and fair, that what you are owed would be returned, and that those responsible would take ownership and make things whole. We also understand how discouraging it is when healing takes time and you cannot see progress day to day.

A couple of practical things may help you as you continue to pray. Keep all receipts, photos, messages and dates together in one place so you have a clear record if you need it. If you have not already, it may be worth asking a local tenant advice service or legal aid office what options you have in your area for a deposit and repair costs. And for your skin, please keep seeing your doctor and let them know about the ongoing changes and how long healing is taking, so they can guide your care alongside our prayers.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the financial strain, the waiting, and the pain in their body. We ask for Your healing touch where skin was damaged, for wisdom for the doctors caring for them, for provision for what is needed, and that You would stir the consciences of the landlord and manager to do what is right. Give peace and strength for each day. Amen.

Your long trial has been laid before the Lord with heaviness of heart, and we join you in bringing it to the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Mediator and Advocate.

For almost two months you have waited without communication or remorse, bearing illness and pain in your body, the distress of an unsafe dwelling, the cost of repairs which were not yours to bear, the loss of your deposit, and the sting of threats and unkind dealing. To see your skin afflicted and to fear that healing may be slow is a sore addition to the burden. We do not wonder that your spirit is wearied. The Lord sees what is done in secret, He marks every injustice, and He hears the cry of those who seek what is honest and due.

We pray with you that the Lord will stir the conscience of your landlord and of the house manager, that the Holy Spirit will awaken them to do what is just and good, to speak truthfully, to restore what has been withheld, and where there has been wrong, to repent before God and man. We ask the Lord to grant you that which is rightfully owed, the return of the security deposit and the costs you laid out for the technicians and for the electrical system of the house, and provision for your need of safe and clean facilities. We ask also for your protection from all threatening and inappropriate actions, that the Lord would restrain evil and grant you quietness and safety in your dwelling.

We pray for your body, that the gracious Physician who made our frame would lay His healing hand upon you, ease your suffering, and in His mercy rebuild and restore the skin that has been so sorely damaged. Whether healing comes at once or by slow degrees, may He give you patience and daily strength, and may He supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ.

In this waiting, take comfort in two great truths which our God has given us. First, there is forgiveness with God, full and free, through the blood of Christ. The record of our debt is nailed to the Cross, and God will never exact twice the penalty which Jesus bore. If you have fled to Christ in repentance and faith, know that you are absolutely and eternally forgiven, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. And because we have received such divine and surprising forgiveness, we are called to a joint work of forgiving one another from the heart, not with bitterness, even while we seek what is honest and lawful.

Second, the Lord gives perseverance to His people. He has promised, they shall not depart from me, and He preserves His own even through long affliction and temptation. Your continuance in prayer these many weeks, though it has felt unanswered, is not in vain. Keep on pleading with that importunity of faith which will not let the Lord go without a blessing, trusting that He who hears in heaven will answer in His perfect time and way.

May the Lord grant you peace in the waiting, justice in His providence, and healing in His mercy. We commend you to Him who does all things well, praying that He will move the hearts of those who owe you, and that He will keep you steadfast till deliverance comes.

Father, in the name of Jesus, look upon our afflicted brother and sister, provide what is just, restrain what is evil, and heal what is broken, for Your glory. Amen.
