Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost two months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in fervent prayer. Father, we know that You are a God of justice and righteousness, and we ask that You move mightily in this matter. The dangers faced due to unsafe living conditions, electric shocks, illness, and the physical and emotional toll, are not things to be taken lightly. Lord, we pray that You would stir the landlord’s heart to acknowledge the harm caused and take responsibility. May Your Holy Spirit convict him of the need to make things right, not only in word but in action, providing fair compensation for the suffering endured.

Scripture tells us in Proverbs 21:15, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity." We pray that justice would prevail in this situation, Lord. We also ask that You would bring healing to the physical ailments that have resulted from these unsafe conditions. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." We claim this promise over the skin problems and any lingering effects of this ordeal.

We rebuke any spirit of hardness or indifference in the landlord’s heart. Father, soften him, that he may see the error of his ways and act with integrity. We pray that he would be moved to repentance, not just for the sake of compensation, but for the sake of righteousness. In Ezekiel 18:30, You call out, "Repent, and turn from all your transgressions; so iniquity will not be your ruin." May this be the landlord’s turning point.

We also lift up the emotional and mental strain this has caused. The threats and inappropriate actions only add to the burden, and we ask that You would be a shield and comfort. Psalm 34:18 assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, draw near and bring peace that surpasses understanding.

We stand on Your promise in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We trust that You will act on behalf of the oppressed, and we ask that You would open doors for resolution, whether through legal means or a change of heart. Strengthen the faith of the one who has endured this suffering, and let them see Your hand at work.

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who intercedes for us and through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Without Jesus, there is no way to approach You, for He Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We thank You for the salvation and hope found only in Him.

We pray now for patience and perseverance. Though the wait has been long, we know that Your timing is perfect. Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." We ask that You would sustain hope and provide for every need during this time, whether through compensation or other means. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust in You.

Finally, Lord, we pray that this situation would not only bring justice but also be an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed. May the landlord come to know You, and may the one who has suffered see Your faithfulness in new and powerful ways. We commit this matter into Your hands, believing that You will work all things together for good, according to Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We've been sitting with your request, and we can feel the weight of these two months, not just the physical toll of electric shocks and the resulting skin problems and treatments, but the frustration of silence. When someone who has caused you real harm offers no response, no remorse, it is a lonely and maddening place to be. We hear you.

Sometimes the most immediate need isn't for a new action step, but for simple human acknowledgement that what you've endured is not right. ###, a pastor who spent years visiting people in their homes, often found that the most healing thing he could do for someone who had been hurt was to listen deeply to the part of their story that felt overlooked, to name their sense of injustice with them before moving toward any "fix." That practice of being truly heard can steady the spirit even when the practical situation remains stuck. We are taking your suffering seriously before God, not rushing past it.

We're praying with you now:

Lord Jesus, you see this long ordeal. You see a landlord's heart that has remained hard and silent, and you see a tenant who has borne real injury and cost. We ask you to stir the landlord's conscience. Not with guilt that hides, but with the kind of conviction that leads to honest communication and practical making-right. We ask for the compensation this writer needs, to cover treatment, alternative arrangements, and the cost of what was wrongly endured. Protect them now. Grant them healing in their body and steady peace for their mind while they wait for your justice to unfold. In your name alone, Amen.

Think upon that Great Landlord to whom all must give account. The lease upon this mortal tenement holds a clause men often forget: the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and leave His own property. Your earthly landlord's silence, his lack of remorse, his seared conscience, these are no strange thing. We read of those so inured to their wrong that nothing seemed to move them to repentance. Their moral faculties become totally defunct, callous, seared as with a hot iron. Suffering is no help to repentance, and it may be a hindrance.

We must beware of valuing a repentance that is mere hypocrisy, a rest of conscience that lulls men to sleep and enables them to return to their sin. True repentance, the work of the Spirit of God, gives God glory. It is a repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart. The repentance you long to see in this man would be a practical matter, yielding works meet for repentance, for repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more.

Yet your own suffering also calls for a healing balm. See the tree of life whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. A word of His, coming home to the heart, brings healing to head and heart, conscience and imagination, desire and affection. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. The skin’s affliction and the body’s pain are not beyond His notice. There is a compassion, a fellow-feeling, a kindred suffering in the heart of God, who says, “I pity you men, but your sins I must punish. I cannot pass them by.”

And what of your own spirit in this long trial? We are never right till we are right with conscience, and conscience tells us we are never right till we are right with God. If this long delay of justice causes you bitterness, take heed that you strangle not your own convictions in the waiting. The heart may yet be awakened by the voice of the Son of God, and that applies to every soul involved. He is exalted on high to give repentance and remission of sins; not merely the remission, but the repentance too. Think of how all the while He has borne with us in long-suffering, leading us to repentance. If Christ is first, last, midst, and everything to you, He will give you the heart of flesh, He will give you a sensitive conscience, He will give you the pure and cleansed life. The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The suffering of injustice at the hands of your landlord is genuine: electric shocks, illness, threats, and now a long silence after all your prayers. It would be easy to grow bitter or to demand swift repayment, but consider what you truly stand to lose if you let this trial sour your soul. For if you endure these afflictions with patience, giving thanks to God and praying for the one who wrongs you, you suffer for Christ and will receive a great reward. But if you curse him or seek revenge in your heart, you throw away the profit of your suffering, and the ordeal becomes barren.

Job lost everything and yet blessed God; David, when driven from his throne by his own son, said, “Let Him do what is pleasing in His sight.” They were not justified simply because they suffered, but because they suffered with thankfulness. You have asked for the landlord’s conscience to be stirred, and this is good, pray on for his repentance. But do not make the granting of compensation the measure of God’s hearing. The very delay may be His training for your soul. Ease often makes the spirit fat and forgetful; affliction drives us to seek God and teaches humility. Hear how Paul rejoiced that the Thessalonians “received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit.” That joy is not natural to the pain, but is the dew of the Spirit in the furnace. Ask for that joy.

Continue helping together through prayer, not only for the landlord’s amendment but for your own strength to bear all with a noble and quiet heart. When you pray, do so like the centurion who said, “Speak the word only”, not demanding a particular sign, but trusting in God’s power and goodness. If you cast this burden upon the Lord without impatience, He will not overlook your groaning. But seek first the spiritual compensation: a soul that is tried and true, fit for the narrow way that leads to life.
