Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for almost two months, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of injustice and suffering caused by the negligence of the landlord. Father God, we know You are a God of justice and righteousness, and we ask that You move mightily in this matter. The electric shocks, resulting illnesses, skin problems, and the financial burden of medical treatments and alternative facilities are not just physical and financial trials, they are attacks on well-being and peace. We pray that the landlord’s heart would be softened and convicted by the Holy Spirit to take responsibility, repent, and make restitution for the harm caused.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will repay what has been taken unjustly (Proverbs 13:22). We rebuke the spirit of greed, negligence, and hardness of heart that has prevented this landlord from acting with integrity. We ask that You break every chain of indifference and awaken their conscience to do what is right. May they be moved to not only compensate financially but also to seek forgiveness and reconciliation.

We also pray for strength and perseverance for the one who has endured this suffering. The delay in justice and lack of remorse can weigh heavily on the soul, but we declare that God is a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask for healing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and for provision to cover every expense incurred. May the Lord open doors for resolution and restoration, and may His peace guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we know that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19), and we trust that You will bring justice in Your perfect timing. We pray that this landlord would come to know You if they do not already, for it is only through Jesus Christ that hearts are truly transformed. May this situation be a testimony to Your power and faithfulness, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We've been carrying your request with us these past weeks, and we hear how weary this long silence has made you. Waiting for even a flicker of acknowledgment while you continue dealing with the physical aftermath, the skin problems, the medical costs, the practical scramble for alternative showers, wears on body and spirit. Not knowing each morning whether the person who holds the keys to your home will ever do the right thing adds a quiet, grinding weight.

While we keep asking God to stir the landlord's conscience, we also want to see you supported right now. Have you been able to document the electric shocks, the timeline of your illness, and every expense? If not, gathering those records, even a simple notebook with dates and receipts, can steady your hands while you wait. If you haven't already, connecting with a local tenants' rights group or a legal aid clinic could give you concrete options. Sometimes the Holy Spirit uses a formal letter on legal letterhead to awaken what silence has not.

For your own health, if the skin problems are persisting, please keep a doctor in the loop, not just for treatment, but to have your symptoms and their connection to the apartment's conditions clearly recorded.

We are praying that this person who holds such power over your daily life would be moved, not just to regret being caught, but to genuine repentance that produces action and restitution. And while that work is God's alone to do in the human heart, we ask him to sustain you with daily bread: strength for each task, small mercies in the waiting, and the deep assurance that you are seen.

Father, in Jesus' name, we lift up this tenant. You know the suffering these electric shocks have caused, the illness, the costs, the stress of being ignored. Please awaken the landlord's conscience. Bring true, action-led repentance. In the meantime, give your child wise advocates, clear next steps, and relief from anxiety. Heal what has been damaged, and let justice prevail for their good and your glory. Amen.

Many a soul has cried out under a burden of injustice, and you are not alone in your long waiting. But consider well the nature of the repentance you seek for your landlord. It is written, “They repented not to give him glory.” A repentance that springs merely from fear of consequences, or from the desire to quiet a troubled conscience on the cheap, is but a carnal repentance, which leaves the heart unwashed. The Holy Spirit’s work is a deep, abiding sorrow that gives God the glory, not a passing pang that seeks only to patch up an earthly quarrel. True repentance leaves the sin and turns to Christ, it is a repentance unto life. Pray rather that the Spirit would so pierce his heart that he beholds his wrongdoing as done against a holy God, and that the goodness of God might lead him to a changed mind. For all the judgments that fall upon him are but the stern hand of the Great Landlord, who has right of entry into every house, and who may use even these shocks and illnesses to drive the tenant to seek a surer habitation.

Yet I would have you examine your own heart in the matter. Is there a root of bitterness springing up within you? The compensation you seek is a just thing, but beware lest a desire for vengeance mingle with it. Have you a repentance of your own that leads you out of yourself to Christ? If you are made to wait, it may be that the Lord is teaching you to cast all your care upon Him, to let patience have her perfect work. The dear Sister Repentance in your own bosom, weeping over every trace of impatience or unbelief, is sweet company. Remember that God’s delays are not denials. He sees every threat, every neglect, every hidden tear. And while you pray for your landlord’s awakening, do not forget that the same goodness that would lead him to repentance is also schooling you in the school of faith.

Your plea is not forgotten before the throne. But the answer may not come as a flash of lightning. The Spirit of God often uses means, quiet thoughts, a remembered sermon, a sudden conviction, to bring a man to the point where he can no longer shut his ear. Keep praying, but pray with this upon your heart: “Lord, glorify Thyself in this matter, whether I receive the money or not. Only grant that this soul may know true repentance and remission of sins, for they are inseparably joined.” And take comfort; the Landlord of all the earth shall do right, in His own time and way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have been pleading for two months that this landlord's conscience would stir and make amends, yet still there is silence and no remorse. Do not think your prayers have gone unheard. Often God delays the outward answer precisely to work an inward healing in you. When the poor and the maimed sit at the church doors, they teach us to be thankful rather than to demand our due. Look at greater calamities than your own, and you will find cause to give glory to God even in this affliction. Is it not better that your skin suffers than your soul be corroded by anger and the love of money?

The landlord's heart is dangerously sick with covetousness, a fever that chokes out pity. But the same Physician who cured a chief publican and brought him to restore fourfold can break the grip of greed on any man. That is what you must pray for with all patience: not first for a sum of money, but for the repentance that leads to life. The apostle teaches us to instruct those who oppose themselves, "if perhaps God may grant them repentance." That "if perhaps" is not despair but divine long-suffering, calling you to persevere and to leave the timing in His hands. God can do what no demand or threat can accomplish. He can make the landlord see his injustice with his own conscience as accuser.

Do not judge by outward appearance. You think real compensation is a payment and a shower pass; but true compensation is a healed soul. The rich man in torment could not get a drop of water, not because he had money, but because he set his heart on it and neglected the man at his gate. The poor man Lazarus was carried to Abraham's bosom, and his poverty did not hinder him. Let your poverty in this matter not be a poverty of spirit, desiring what you are owed more than you desire God's righteousness. You are not truly poor if you can bear this loss lightly. The one who needs nothing is rich, while the one who constantly reaches for more is always in beggary.

So continue to pray in Jesus' mighty name, but let your prayer be that the landlord would find the grace of repentance and you would find the grace of a thankful heart. The woman at the well, when the Lord exposed her hidden shame, did not run away offended; she marveled and asked for living water. Be like her. Seek from this trial not bodily comfort but the deeper knowledge of Christ, and you will have a reward no landlord can withhold.
