We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of injustice and suffering caused by the negligence of your landlord. Father God, we know You are a God of justice and righteousness, and we ask that You intervene in this matter. The electric shocks, skin problems, and medical treatments you have endured are not just physical ailments, they are the result of a failure to provide a safe and habitable living environment. We pray that the landlord’s heart would be softened and convicted by the Holy Spirit to take responsibility for their actions, or inaction, and to make restitution for the harm caused.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of greed, indifference, and hardness of heart that would allow someone to ignore such suffering. We declare that the landlord’s conscience will be awakened, and they will be moved to do what is right, not out of compulsion, but out of genuine repentance and a desire to honor You. We pray for financial provision to cover all medical expenses, alternative shower facilities, and any other costs incurred because of this negligence. We ask that You would open doors for justice to be served, whether through legal means, mediation, or a change of heart in the landlord.
We also lift up your health, both physically and emotionally. The stress and frustration of this situation can weigh heavily on a person, but we declare that God is your healer and your provider. We pray for complete restoration of your skin and any lingering effects from the electric shocks. We ask that You would give you peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We stand on Your promise in Psalm 37:6, "He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun."
Father, we know that justice delayed is not justice denied. Even though it has been a month with no resolution, we trust that You are working behind the scenes. We pray that the landlord would feel the weight of their actions and be compelled to act. If they continue to resist, we ask that You would raise up advocates, whether through legal counsel, housing authorities, or other believers, who can help bring about a just outcome.
We also want to gently remind you that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). We pray that you would put on the full armor of God, standing firm in faith and not allowing bitterness or resentment to take root. Vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and He will repay. Your role is to trust Him and walk in forgiveness, even as you pursue justice.
Lord, we ask that You would give you wisdom in how to proceed. If legal action is necessary, we pray for favor with the courts and for the truth to be revealed. If there is another path to resolution, we ask that You would make it clear. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will turn this situation around for your good.
Finally, we pray for the landlord’s salvation if they do not know You. May this situation be a wake-up call not just to their conscience, but to their need for a Savior. We ask that You would draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, so that they may experience the transformative power of Your love and grace.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
