Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of injustice and suffering caused by the negligence of your landlord. Father God, we know You are a God of justice and righteousness, and we ask that You intervene in this matter. The electric shocks, skin problems, and medical treatments you have endured are not just physical ailments, they are the result of a failure to provide a safe and habitable living environment. We pray that the landlord’s heart would be softened and convicted by the Holy Spirit to take responsibility for their actions, or inaction, and to make restitution for the harm caused.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of greed, indifference, and hardness of heart that would allow someone to ignore such suffering. We declare that the landlord’s conscience will be awakened, and they will be moved to do what is right, not out of compulsion, but out of genuine repentance and a desire to honor You. We pray for financial provision to cover all medical expenses, alternative shower facilities, and any other costs incurred because of this negligence. We ask that You would open doors for justice to be served, whether through legal means, mediation, or a change of heart in the landlord.

We also lift up your health, both physically and emotionally. The stress and frustration of this situation can weigh heavily on a person, but we declare that God is your healer and your provider. We pray for complete restoration of your skin and any lingering effects from the electric shocks. We ask that You would give you peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We stand on Your promise in Psalm 37:6, "He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun."

Father, we know that justice delayed is not justice denied. Even though it has been a month with no resolution, we trust that You are working behind the scenes. We pray that the landlord would feel the weight of their actions and be compelled to act. If they continue to resist, we ask that You would raise up advocates, whether through legal counsel, housing authorities, or other believers, who can help bring about a just outcome.

We also want to gently remind you that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). We pray that you would put on the full armor of God, standing firm in faith and not allowing bitterness or resentment to take root. Vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and He will repay. Your role is to trust Him and walk in forgiveness, even as you pursue justice.

Lord, we ask that You would give you wisdom in how to proceed. If legal action is necessary, we pray for favor with the courts and for the truth to be revealed. If there is another path to resolution, we ask that You would make it clear. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will turn this situation around for your good.

Finally, we pray for the landlord’s salvation if they do not know You. May this situation be a wake-up call not just to their conscience, but to their need for a Savior. We ask that You would draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, so that they may experience the transformative power of Your love and grace.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how wearying this has been, not only the physical toll of the shocks, illness, and skin problems, but the prolonged silence from someone who should have made things right. A month of waiting without a word of remorse or willingness to compensate you is deeply discouraging.

What you have asked for, that the landlord's conscience be awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit, is exactly what we are praying alongside you. God sees what has happened, and He is not indifferent to injustice or to the mistreatment you have endured.

In the meantime, one thing that may help you feel less stuck is to document everything you can: dates of the shocks, medical visits, costs you have borne, any communication (or lack of it) with the landlord. If you have not already done so, this is also the moment to learn what practical legal avenues, tenant protections, or housing authorities exist in your area. None of that replaces prayer, but it can be one way you take hold of what is within your reach while you wait for God to move the landlord's heart.

We are not going to pretend the wait does not hurt. It does. And we cannot promise a particular outcome by a certain date. But we can remind you and ourselves that God is not absent in delays. He hears. He keeps track. And He is able to soften hearts that seem completely shut.

Please pray with us:

Father, we lift up this tenant to You, asking for Your protection and healing over their body, calm the skin problems, restore what has been damaged, and provide the resources needed for ongoing medical care. We ask that You awaken this landlord's conscience. Stir true remorse and a willingness to do what is right and fair. Grant favor and a clear path toward the compensation that is owed. And in the long silence, sustain our friend. Give strength for each day and reminders that they are not forgotten by You. In Jesus' name we ask these things. Amen.

It is a bitter draught when wrongs are unredressed and prayers seem to beat against heavens of brass. The flesh cries out for swift justice, yet the Lord often ordains delay that faith might be tried and patience perfected. You have entreated the throne for a month, and still the heart of your landlord is as flint, giving no token of remorse or restitution. This is no strange thing, for judgments and afflictions, apart from sovereign grace, may wring from men a passing fear but never a saving change. The terrors of the Lord alone produce blasphemy, not repentance; the unregenerate heart, when pressed, grows harder still, rushing from one sin to another lest it face its own guilt. Thus we learn that the awakening of conscience is not in our power to command, it is the sole work of the Holy Ghost, who brings men to loathe the sin they once loved and to flee to Christ.

Yet be not confounded, for the true Landlord of every soul is God, before whom all earthly landlords are but tenants at will, holding their possessions from moment to moment. He keeps a strict account, and the oppressor shall not escape His bar. The goodness and forbearance of God that has sustained that man’s very breath is meant to lead him to repentance; if he despises such riches, he stores up wrath for himself. Meanwhile, take heed that this trial does not become a snare to your own spirit. It is easier to pray for another’s repentance than to practice it daily ourselves. Search your heart lest any root of bitterness spring up and defile you; let your own repentance be deepened, a daily turning from sin and a clinging to Christ alone. True repentance and remission are ever joined, and the evidence of a renewed heart is a willingness to make restitution. But if the landlord remains cold, commit your cause to Him who judges righteously, who heals both body and soul with the leaves that fall from the Tree of Life. The least touch of Christ brings health; cast your sickness and your cares upon Him. He will not fail you. And who knows whether the Lord may yet rend the heavens and pour out upon that hardened man a spirit of grace and supplication, that he may look on Him whom he has pierced and mourn? Prayer is a weapon not easily turned back. Continue to wield it, but let your chief petition be for his soul’s salvation, for a repentance that is not the sorrow of the world, but a repentance unto life that needs not to be repented of. Leave the compensation in God’s hands; He is able to restore the years the locust has eaten, and far more.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not let this silence surprise you. When God is long-suffering, He does not overlook those who suffer wrongfully. The landlord who has received his good things in prosperity while you bear affliction is storing up a heavier judgment if he does not repent. That is no small terror, but a reason to groan for him, not to be consumed with resentment. For see how Esau found no pardon because he did not repent as he ought, yet Peter’s bitter tears washed away even his denial. The landlord’s conscience has not yet been stirred, but the Holy Spirit can awaken it. Continue to pray for that, not with a demand for vengeance, but that he might turn and do good, lest he go on treasuring up wrath.

Consider also what is being formed in you through this trial. The Apostle speaks of filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ that we may be brought closer to Him. When you endure these shocks, threats, and the cost to your body without returning evil, you are not merely suffering loss; you are being shaped in long-suffering, the very root of self-denial and love. Love does not vaunt itself; it remains steady. Do not let this hardship make you calloused or cause you to see every sufferer as an impostor. You know your own affliction is real; do not withhold compassion from others who may cry out in their poverty, even as you long for justice now.

God is the righteous Judge, strong and patient. His delay is not neglect but a call to repentance for the one who wrongs you and a training in thanksgiving for you. Give thanks even now, for the common air you breathe, for the prayers of the Church, for the hope of the world to come. When you thank God for the virtue of others and the good things given to all, your own heart will be kept from bitterness. If the landlord finally repays, rejoice in his amendment. If he does not, be assured that the Judge will requite after death and at the Resurrection. Yours is not to despair but to stand firm, believing that your salvation comes through enduring the same sufferings as Christ, and to let that endurance produce in you a love that can even desire the repentance of your enemy.
