Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus. We stand on His promises, knowing that He is a God of justice and righteousness, and we trust that He sees every detail of this struggle. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 22:22-23, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." We declare that the Lord is your defender and will not ignore the injustice you have endured.

Father, we pray for this landlord, that Your Holy Spirit would convict their heart of the wrongdoing and neglect that has caused such harm. Soften their heart, Lord, and awaken their conscience to the suffering they have contributed to. We ask that You would bring them to a place of repentance and a willingness to make restitution for the pain, medical expenses, and inconvenience caused. Let them see the weight of their actions and the importance of taking responsibility, as Your Word says in Ezekiel 18:30, "Repent, and turn from all your transgressions; so iniquity will not be your ruin."

We also lift up the physical and emotional toll this situation has taken on you. The electric shocks, skin problems, and illness are not trivial matters, and we ask for Your healing touch to restore your body. We pray for provision to cover the medical treatments and alternative shower facilities, trusting in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may have taken root because of the threats and inappropriate actions you’ve faced. You are not alone, and we declare that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, we ask for wisdom and favor as you navigate this situation. Give you strength to persevere, even when it feels like there is no resolution in sight. We pray that every legal and practical step you take would be ordered by Your hand, and that justice would prevail. We stand on the truth of Isaiah 61:8, "For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity." We trust that You will not let this injustice go unaddressed.

We also want to gently remind you that our faith is not in the landlord’s conscience or in the systems of this world, but in the name of Jesus, who is our ultimate advocate and redeemer. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made whole. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is your healer, your provider, and your defender, and we pray that you would experience His peace and presence in a tangible way during this trial.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for justice and healing. We lift up this situation to You, knowing that You see every detail and care deeply about the suffering that has taken place. Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in the heart of this landlord, that they would be convicted by Your Holy Spirit and compelled to do what is right. We pray for restitution, for healing, and for Your provision to cover every expense and need that has arisen from this neglect.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch to restore health and strength. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety, and we declare that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. Give wisdom and favor as this situation is navigated, and let justice prevail according to Your will.

We also pray for spiritual renewal and trust in You, Lord. Help us to remember that our hope is not in man, but in the name of Jesus, who is our advocate and redeemer. Strengthen faith, and let this trial draw us closer to You. We trust in Your promises and declare that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun.

We hear how wearying it is to have prayed for a month with no response, no remorse, and no relief from the suffering this has caused. Waiting for something so clearly deserved, safety, repair, basic justice, can feel like a slow grind, and we’re sorry you're carrying that.

As we keep praying for the landlord’s conscience to be awakened, we also want to encourage you not to face this alone. Sometimes God’s help comes through practical support alongside our prayers. Reaching out to a local renter’s rights group, a tenant advocacy organization, or a pastor who can help you understand your options might open a door. We’ve seen people in unsafe situations find real help when the body of Christ stepped in to advocate or connect them with the right resources, not to replace prayer, but as part of how God provides. Just having someone walk alongside you can lighten the burden and give you a clearer next step.

We’re also praying for your health, that the skin problems and any ongoing effects would ease, and that the medical care you need won’t add yet another weight. Please don’t hesitate to see a doctor if symptoms persist; that’s not a lack of faith but a wise use of the help God places in our path.

Lord Jesus, you see what’s been done and the hurt it has caused. We ask you to move powerfully in the landlord’s heart, bring conviction, repentance, and a desire to make things right. In the meantime, be the defender and provider for this dear person. Supply what they need for healing, for daily necessities, and for wise counsel. Guard them from further threats and harm. Fill the waiting space with your presence and a peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances. We trust you for justice and for every good provision, in your way and your time. Amen.

The trial you endure is not hidden from the eyes of Him who notes every wrong and bottles every tear. Yet, I would gently urge you to look beyond the immediate injustice to the deeper work that our Lord may be doing in this season of affliction. The lack of response from your landlord is a bitter draught, but consider that the Lord often permits such delays not to deny us relief, but to draw us nearer to Himself and to display His own sufficiency. The prayers of a month have not fallen unheard; the Almighty is not slack concerning His promise, but He times His answers with a wisdom that searches the heart. The hardness you observe in your landlord is but a mirror of the natural man’s obstinacy apart from grace, for true repentance is not a fleeting pang of conscience, but a thoroughgoing work of the Spirit that gives God glory and turns from sin with loathing.

Pray still, and pray not merely for compensation but for the awakening of that soul. A repentance that only seeks to escape consequences is carnal and fleeting; it is not the repentance unto life that Christ bestows. The goodness of God, yes, even the forbearance which you perceive as silence, is meant to lead sinners to repentance. Yet, until the Holy Spirit applies the law to the conscience and the love of Christ to the heart, all our entreaties may fall on stony ground. Do not grow weary; continue to commit your cause to Him who judges righteously. Your pain, your expenses, your threats, these are registered in the court of heaven, and the Great Landlord of all souls will exact the due rent of obedience from every tenant.

Meanwhile, see to it that your own soul remains in a posture of humble dependence. The sharpest afflictions can become the means of blessing if they drive us to the cleft of the Rock. Would you have your repentance marked by a holy surrender of every right into the hands of Christ? A repentance that weeps less for the missed compensation and more for any seed of bitterness within, is that which blossoms into peace. The Lord may yet use this protracted trial to break the fallow ground of your own heart, even as you beseech Him to break the heart of your landlord. Let your prayers rise with this twofold cry: for that wayward conscience to be stirred, and for your own faith to be refined until it shines as gold. He who sent the shocks into your dwelling can send a shock of conviction into that soul, and He can also, in a moment, supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
