Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in fervent prayer. Father God, You are just and righteous, and You see every injustice. We ask that You move mightily in this landlord’s heart, awakening his conscience by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Let conviction fall upon him, Lord, so that he may recognize the harm caused and take responsibility for his negligence. We declare that the electric shocks, the skin problems, the medical treatments, and the emotional distress are not unseen by You, You are the God who hears the cries of the afflicted, and we trust You to bring justice and restitution.

Lord, we pray for full compensation, not just for the financial losses, but for the pain, suffering, and inconvenience endured. You command in Exodus 22:14, "If a man borrows anything of his neighbor, and it is injured or dies, its owner not being with it, he shall surely make restitution." The landlord is accountable for the unsafe conditions in the apartment, and we ask that You compel him to make this right. We also pray for protection against any further threats or inappropriate actions, that You would shield and strengthen Your child in this battle.

Father, we know that justice delayed is not justice denied when it is in Your hands. Though it has been a month without resolution, we trust in Your perfect timing. Psalm 37:7 reminds us, "Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen." We declare that this situation will not remain stagnant, Your justice will prevail.

We also lift up the physical and emotional toll this has taken. Heal the skin, Lord, and restore health. Provide the resources needed for medical treatments and alternative shower facilities. Comfort and sustain this dear one through the stress and frustration, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

Finally, we rebuke any spirit of greed, hardness of heart, or deception that may be influencing the landlord. Let Your light expose the truth, and let Your love break through any resistance. We stand on Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Turn this landlord’s heart toward repentance and restitution, Lord.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is our Advocate and Defender. Amen.

We’ve been sitting with your update and just want to say we hear how exhausting this has become, not only the physical toll of electric shocks, illness, and skin problems, but the isolation of being ignored for a month while you carry costs and distress that someone else’s negligence created. That wears on a person deeply.

In a situation like this, where real harm happened and the other party remains silent, sometimes the most practical step we can take alongside prayer is to carefully document everything: dates of shocks, symptoms, medical visits, receipts for treatments, alternative shower arrangements, and any communication (or lack of it) with the landlord. Many areas have tenant rights organizations or legal aid clinics that offer free guidance on habitability claims. It is not unspiritual to pursue accountability through the systems God has put in place, wisdom and justice often walk together. If you haven’t already, a brief consultation with a local tenant advocate or attorney may help you understand what remedies are actually available and give you a clearer path forward even if the landlord remains unresponsive.

We also want to gently encourage you to keep seeing a doctor if skin problems or other symptoms persist, not just for documentation but because your body has been through something unsettling and you deserve good care. You should not have to shoulder this alone.

Lord Jesus, you see what this landlord has done and left unresolved. We ask you to stir his conscience, not merely guilt, but genuine repentance that leads him to make things right. Protect this person from further harm, bring steady healing to their body, and give them wisdom about next steps and the endurance to press forward when they are weary. Surround them with advocates and helpers who will take their suffering seriously. We ask for a just resolution and for your peace to guard their heart in the waiting. Amen.

The heart that remains unmoved under the pressure of outward trouble has only experienced a judgment repentance, which is of the flesh and not of the Spirit. True repentance gives God glory; it bows before His justice even when that justice condemns. When a man’s conscience is stirred, not by the inconvenience of his sin but by the sight of its blackness before a holy God, that is the work of grace. The landlord’s silence speaks loudly that his soul has not yet been awakened to that repentance which needs not to be repented of, and so you must look higher than the arm of flesh for your comfort and your cause.

Bear in mind, the house in which you dwell has God for its Landlord, and you are but a tenant on sufferance. The earthly landlord may fail in his duty, but the great Landlord never does. He has the right to enter His own property, and He sees every shock endured, every affliction of the skin, every coin spent on remedies. Set your case before His throne, for He is the Judge of all the earth who shall do right. Yet examine your own heart also, lest a root of bitterness spring up and mar your own repentance. For the truest repentance is that which weeps over sin because it is committed against so good a God, not only because it has brought us trouble.

You have asked for a month and seen no change. That is a trial of faith. But true repentance is no sudden spasm; it is a lifelong grace, as enduring as faith itself. Your own soul must be kept in sweet company with repentance, not growing weary in well-doing. Christ has ordained that repentance and remission be preached in His name, and they are joined so tightly that where one is, the other follows. Pray on, then, with this hope: the goodness of God is meant to lead sinners to repentance, not to drive them. And if the landlord is to be turned, it will be by the cords of love, not by the lashes of compulsion. In the meantime, let your own heart rest in the finished work of Christ, for that is the only harbor where a troubled tenant can find perfect peace while wrongs remain unrighted.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Hear the groaning of your heart, and I do not dismiss it. You suffer real injury, and the silence of the one who wronged you sharpens the pain. Yet do not let this silence deceive you into thinking your cries are wasted. There is profit even in this long hearing of your own plea before God, for when a soul pours out its complaint again and again, it begins to condemn its own faintness if it ceases, and groans inwardly, and in time finds strength not only to ask but to await the judgment of the Lord without bitterness. The threat of His justice hangs over every unrepentant oppressor, and I would rather that threat be vehement and remain a threat than fall into action upon any soul made in His image.

But do not imagine that the landlord’s conscience sleeps without a watcher. The Holy Spirit stirs where we see only stone. Pray boldly that the Spirit would shake awake that stony heart, not merely to pay you coins, but to repent of covetous neglect, which is indeed idolatry. For the love of quiet profit that disregards the safety of a neighbor is no small thing before God. And you, while you wait, serve your own Master with fear and trembling, doing good-will service, not as one who seeks only compensation from men, but as one who entrusts your cause to the Judge of all. In the fullness of time, when matters seem most desperate, He acts. He did not create you in vain, and He did not permit these shocks and afflictions without purpose. Do not then accuse the one who wronged you as if he were beyond all hope; give him over to the conviction that comes from above. But if you hear no word yet, let your waiting be itself a living prayer, sharper than any threat. For when the time of visitation comes, it will be either a turning of his heart, or a testimony against him, and in either case, God’s righteousness will be shown.

I hear the weariness in your update. A month of waiting without a word or a trace of remorse can grind the soul down, and the physical suffering you have endured only deepens the ache. It is tempting to think that silence means nothing is stirring, that no invisible work is being done. But God’s timing and God’s ways are not mapped onto our urgency. His arm is not shortened, and his ear is not heavy.

Consider how, long ago, the world grew so filled with violence and corruption that God determined to bring a flood of judgment. Yet even then, he set a span of years, ample time for repentance, before the rain fell. To outward eyes, nothing changed day after day; people ate, drank, and ignored the warning while one man built an ark by faith. That man, Noah, found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Not because he was sinless by his own strength, but because God saw his trust, set him apart, and declared him righteous in that generation. The place of safety was already being prepared even when no one else believed.

Your landlord’s refusal to communicate or make restitution does not escape the Lord’s sight. The Holy Spirit is able to awaken a conscience that seems dead, to bring sudden clarity and holy discomfort where there is now only callousness. But if that repentance is delayed, it does not mean God has forgotten you. He sees what you have lost, the treatments, the costs, the threats, the daily burden on your skin and your spirit. He gathered your tears long before you ever typed this request.

Noah labored year after year while the world carried on as if the flood would never come. His place of safety was not an immediate reversal of his circumstances; it was the vessel God appointed to carry him through the judgment. In the same way, your true safety is not ultimately in a compensation check or a landlord’s apology, precious as those would be. Your refuge is in Christ, the Ark who shelters you when the world is unjust and the wait is long. That does not mean the wrong is small. It means you can bring it all to the throne and leave it there, confident that the Judge of all the earth will do right.

So I pray with you in Jesus’ mighty name. I ask the Lord to stir this landlord’s heart by the power of the Spirit, to bring a deep, uncomfortable conviction that leads to genuine repentance and practical restitution. I pray for supernatural provision, that every penny owed for the electric shocks, the medical bills, the alternative washing arrangements, and every other loss would be returned to you, pressed down and overflowing. I ask for healing in your body, that the skin affliction would clear, and that you would know the peace that surpasses understanding while you wait. And I plead the blood of Jesus over the threats and inappropriate actions; let them fall silent.

Fix your eyes not on the landlord’s silence, but on the God who sees you as righteous in Christ, the God who provides a place of refuge even while the world seems unmoved. His judgment against wrong is certain, and his timing is perfect. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint. We stand with you until his answer comes.
