We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in the mighty name of Jesus. Father God, You are the righteous Judge, the Defender of the oppressed, and the One who sees every injustice. We ask that You move powerfully in this matter concerning the unsafe living conditions and the harm that has come as a result. Lord, we pray that the landlord would be convicted by Your Holy Spirit to do what is right and just, providing fair compensation for the electrical hazards, the resulting illness, medical treatments, and the additional hardships faced.
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 21:15, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity." We ask, Lord, that You would bring justice in this situation, not out of vengeance, but so that Your name may be glorified and Your people protected. We also pray for healing over the skin problems and any lingering effects of this ordeal. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
We rebuke any spirit of fear or intimidation that has come through threats or inappropriate actions. In 2 Timothy 1:7, You remind us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that You would surround this individual with Your peace and protection, shielding them from further harm.
Father, we also lift up the landlord to You. If they do not know You, we pray that their heart would be softened to repentance and that they would come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. If they are a believer, we ask that You would convict them of any wrongdoing and lead them to make restitution as Zacchaeus did in Luke 19:8, saying, "Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much."
We trust in Your perfect timing and Your faithfulness to provide. May this situation be resolved in a way that honors You and brings glory to Your name. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
