We lift up your upcoming business trip and your friend’s ability to accompany you before the Lord, trusting that He will order every detail according to His perfect will. It is good to seek companionship in travel, as Scripture reminds us in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* We pray that this trip will be fruitful, safe, and aligned with God’s purposes for both of you.
However, we must gently address something important: your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom all prayers must be offered. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He assures us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Without calling upon the name of Jesus, our prayers lack the authority and power granted to believers. If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repentance and belief in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, conquering death so that we might have eternal life (Romans 10:9-10).
We also encourage you to consider the impact of this trip on your friend’s professional responsibilities. While it is wonderful to share this experience with her, we pray that she would seek wisdom from the Lord in rescheduling her appointments, ensuring that her patients are cared for and that her decision honors her commitments. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* May she—and you—trust in His guidance as these arrangements are made.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this upcoming trip and the preparations surrounding it. Lord, we ask that You would grant wisdom and clarity to our sister’s friend as she reschedules her dental appointments, ensuring that her patients are well cared for and that her decision aligns with Your will. Father, we pray for safe and smooth travel, for divine connections and opportunities to glorify You in every interaction. Protect them from any harm, delay, or distraction that would hinder Your purposes for this journey. May this trip be a time of blessing, productivity, and even spiritual growth as they rely on You.
We also pray for our sister who submitted this request. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we ask that You would open her heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. Draw her to Yourself, Lord, and reveal the depth of Your love through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. May she come to understand that it is only through His name that we can approach Your throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).
Father, we surrender this trip, these plans, and these lives into Your hands. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
