Comfort, healing, truth for my old mom - widow

Lord please help my mom to overcome this phase of grief. Her husband (my father) died on ###. She is missing terribly her husband. As soon as she falls asleep, she dreams about him and speaks with him. And because of that she is lost in the morning thinking that he is still alive. And then she cries a lot.

Also she has diabetes and early stage Alzheimer's and we are planning to give her in a senior home because we cannot take care of her properly. She forgets things and she must be on a diet. She cannot confront the fact that she has Alzheimer's and thinks that we want to get rid of her and that we and doctors are exaggerating. She is terribly stubborn. Lord please help her and help us. Holy Spirit!!

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your mother is facing, and we are here to pray and offer guidance during this difficult time. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.

It's important to remember that God's love and comfort are ever-present, and He cares for your mother deeply, just as He cared for the widow in Zarephath 1 Kings 17:9-16 WEB. As your mother grieves, be encouraged by the words of Jesus, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" Matthew 5:4 WEB.

However, we must also address the spiritual aspect of her dreams. While it's natural to dream about lost loved ones, it's important to pray for discernment and peace, as these experiences can be emotionally confusing. The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and watchful, for our adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. We pray that God will guard your mother's heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 WEB.

Regarding her health, we pray that God will grant her healing and strength based on His perfect plan. Remember that God's power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB. We encourage you to continue seeking medical advice and support, as God often works through doctors and healthcare providers.

As for the challenging decision of placing her in a senior home, we pray for wisdom and guidance. God instructs us to honor our father and mother Ephesians 6:2 WEB, and part of that honoring may involve making difficult decisions for their well-being. Pray for discernment and consider the advice of healthcare professionals and family members.

Lastly, we must address the lack of mention of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved Acts 4:12, John 14:6 WEB. We encourage you to invite Jesus into your mother's life and your own, trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for our sins and His resurrection for our eternal life.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear mother in her time of need. We ask for Your comfort and healing to surround her, and we pray that You will help her overcome this phase of grief. Lord, guide her children as they make important decisions regarding her care, and give them the wisdom and strength they need during this time. Holy Spirit, fill their home with Your peace and presence, and help them to know that You are always near. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here for you and your mom during this tough time. We've been praying for her, asking God to wrap her in His loving arms, and to help her find comfort and healing in her grief. It's so hard to lose a spouse, and we know she's missing your dad terribly. We're asking God to give her strength and peace, especially as she dreams about him. We pray that He'll help her understand that these dreams are a natural part of grieving, but that she can find true comfort and rest in Him.

We're also lifting up her health concerns to the Lord. We're asking Him to guide her doctors and healthcare providers, and to give them wisdom as they care for her. We know Alzheimer's can be a scary diagnosis, and we're praying that God will give her and your family the strength and patience to navigate this journey together.

As for the decision about senior care, we're praying that God will give you all clarity and wisdom. We know it's a big step, but we believe God will guide you as you seek what's best for her. We're asking Him to help you find a place where she'll be loved and well-cared for.

Most importantly, we're praying that your mom will come to know the love and comfort of Jesus personally. We believe that through Him, she can find true healing and hope. We're asking God to open her heart to His love, and to help her trust in Jesus as her Savior.
