Combat Ready

GOD HAS AN OASIS OF COMFORT.

"Trial under fire; Battle proven and tested, Combat ready....."Every military member who has served in a combat zone will readily identify with the phrases I used above. While we are at it, I urge you to pray for our men and women who are in harm's way in Iraq. Pray for their families and dependents that God will comfort and encourage them.

And, so Paul tells the Christians that being a believer in Jesus is the same thing in spiritual matters. We go through trials, sorrows, and testing's to equip us to comfort others as God comforted us in the very heat of those trials.

It is one thing to accept that trials will come, but entirely a different matter if all you bought was "fire insurance" and are of the attitude that God never meant you to be in the front battle lines. So many think that witnessing for God, being a preacher, missionary, deacon, or some other officer of the church is "somebody else's job.

Would you be like Jesus? Then, it will require giving your all in Christian service andnot shunning what God has clearly told you to do.

"This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on you, that you, by them may war a good warfare."

Heavenly father I pray for the one around the world that are in battle, spiritually, emotionally, financially etc.. Lord everybody everywhere is fighting something. Lord may each and everyone of us stop and listen to what you are trying to do in our lives. Thank you for loving each and everyone of us. In Jesus name, amen

I stand in agreement in prayer for our soldiers who are risking their lives in Iraq & Afghanistan. Lord, send a special angel to each one of their sides. I pray we never take our freedoms for granted... For although we may not know the depths of what goes on behind government doors, let us always, always, always show our troops that they are loved. I pray for their families - parents, children, wives, siblings, etc who are left behind & awaiting their return. I pray that more Americans will rally around them with support. I pray that they will not be overlooked or forgotten in the way that 9-11 has become a blurry & distant memory to so many people. Lord, thank you for our freedoms. I pray that our government, leaders, and military personnel will sincerely seek your guidance & wisdom before making their decisions. May our country, and your chosen land, Israel, always be protected by the hand of God. In Jesus' name, Amen.

For the service and dedication of all soldiers....military, spiritual, political, evangelical...and even the soldiers of "daily life"...I praise You Father. You have given each of us talents and gifts and I pray that we use them to fight for Your kingdom every day. Thank You for those who keep our nation and its liberties safe, thank You for those who speak out for You even when its safer not to. I give You thanks and praise for Your almighty protection and grace over our lives. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord thank You for Patty and all her inner wisdom and encouragement, Father thank You for the many, many times You have spoken through her to so many of us. I stand in agreement with this prayer today, the war and the raging battle never ends, whether it be spiritually, mentally or emotionally, Father we cannot do it alone, we know this, forgive us when we try to overcome these things on our own. Abba Father I ask of You today to be our sheild and our armour against the wars of darkness and evil, lift us above the distruction that lurks to take us down, in Jesus name I pray these things amen...
