I'm thinking about going back to college and have emailed the college about this. Would you please pray that ### who is one of the tutors will be intouch with me soon. I would still like God's guidance about whether this is the right decision or not and his wisdom. I want to obey god. Please pray for me. In Jesus high name.

His Name-the Counsellor
The Finger of God
What Were You Made For?
We join with you in prayer and we thank God for your desire to obey Him and to seek His wisdom and guidance in this important decision about returning to college.

We praise God that you have come in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we can find salvation and help in time of need. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son John 14:13.

We pray together for God's clear direction over your life. We ask that He will grant you wisdom liberally as you seek Him, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We pray that you will Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.

We lift up the tutor you mentioned and we ask the Lord that if it is His will, He will prompt a timely and helpful reply to your email, and that He will open doors that no one can shut and close doors that are not for your good. We pray that you will have peace and clarity as you wait, remembering that For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We also pray that you will be able to discern what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God Romans 12:2.

Father in heaven, we bring our dear brother or sister before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to pour out Your wisdom upon them as they consider returning to college. Show them clearly whether this is the path You have chosen for them and give them a heart fully willing to obey You above all else. Guide every step, every conversation, and every email. We ask that You move upon the heart of the tutor to respond soon if it is according to Your timing and purpose, and give our friend patience and trust as they wait upon You. Commit their works to You, Lord, so that their plans may be established Proverbs 16:3, and help them to do all things heartily, as for You and not for men Colossians 3:23. Lead them, give them peace that surpasses understanding, and let Your will be done in their life. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord diligently in prayer and in His Word, to seek godly counsel from mature believers around you, and to watch for how the Lord confirms His will through open doors, provision, and a settled peace in your heart. Whether He leads you back to college or directs you elsewhere, we trust He will equip you to serve Him faithfully and to bring glory to His name in whatever He calls you to do.

We were glad to get your note. Wanting to obey God in a big decision like going back to college is a good and humble place to be, and waiting to hear back can feel long when you are trying to discern next steps.

We are praying for you as you wait to hear from ###, and for clear wisdom about whether this is the right path for this season. One thing that often helps with this kind of choice is stepping back to look at the whole picture together with the Lord, your own interests and gifts, the practical realities like time and cost, and the counsel of people who know you well. Talking it through with a pastor, mentor, or someone who has walked a similar college path can bring clarity you might not get on your own.

While you wait for a reply, it might help to jot down what you hope college would make possible, what other options you have considered, and any questions you want to ask ### when he does respond. If a week or so passes without word, a brief, polite follow up is perfectly fine.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. Give wisdom for this college decision, peace in the waiting, and a clear next step as You guide. Help ### to respond in Your timing, and help Your will to be clear. Amen.

Your desire to obey God in this matter is itself a good evidence of grace at work in your heart, and we rejoice to hear it. For the great practical end of the gospel is to bring the human heart into obedience to Christ, and that obedience, when it is sincere, will seek to know the Lord's will and to do it wholly and cheerfully, not as a slave under the crack of the whip, but as a child in love.

You ask for wisdom whether to return to college, and for guidance as you wait to hear from the tutor. This is wise asking. The Scripture says, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally. We will pray that the Lord will give you that wisdom, and that He will make your way plain before your face.

Remember what was enjoined upon Joshua, Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law. Obedience is the highest practical courage, and to persist in scrupulous obedience through life needs more courage than a single brave act. The exactness of obedience is the essence of obedience, to turn not from it to the right hand or to the left. The path of obedience is generally a middle path, kept close to the Word of God. Therefore seek your guidance there first and most. Do not seek to discover God's will apart from His Word by uncertain signs or by casting lots as if hazard could interpret His will which He has made clear and plain. Rather give yourself to earnest pursuit of what is written, for an intelligent obedience seeks out God's commandments and desires to know them more fully. As it is written, O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. May you be found still in the College of Christ, the University of Grace, where He is both Teacher and lesson.

Providence is God's business, obedience is yours. Your part is to do what is right before Him as far as you now see it, and to leave times and seasons in His hand. If this return to study is that which will best enable you to serve Him and to walk in His ways, He will open the door. If not, He will in mercy close it or show you another path. Those holy women who ran to bring the disciples word were found in the way of obedience active, and as they went, Jesus met them. So shall it be with you. While you are in the way of obedience, you shall find His presence and His reward, a holy fear mixed with great joy, and a calm and happy assurance in Him.

Let us pray for you.

Our gracious Father, we thank Thee for this one who desires above all to obey Thee and to be found faithful. Grant in Thy mercy clear guidance concerning this decision about college. Give wisdom liberally, as Thou hast promised, that Thy will may be known and cheerfully followed. We ask Thee to order all providential dealings concerning the communication with the tutor, that contact may come in Thy perfect time if it be according to Thy will, and that patience and trust may be given while waiting. Keep this Thy servant from turning to the right hand or to the left, but establish the feet in the way of Thy commandments. Let obedience be wholehearted and complete, springing from faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, and whose blood cleanses from all sin. Make the path plain, and give courage to follow it, whatever it may cost. We ask this in the high and worthy name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
