We rejoice with you in how the Lord has provided a way to ease your stress by adjusting your college schedule—what a gracious answer to your concerns! It is clear that He cares deeply for you, even in the small details of your life. As you pursue this diploma in care, we pray that God would use this time not only to equip you with knowledge and skills but also to shape your heart for service in a way that honors Him. The work of caring for others is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love, and we ask that He would give you wisdom, patience, and strength as you prepare for this calling.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* As you step into this new chapter, we encourage you to continually surrender your studies, your time, and even your stress to the Lord. He is faithful to guide you and provide for your needs. Remember also the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* Do not carry the weight of this season alone—cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We also want to gently remind you that as you navigate this time, it is essential to keep your focus on Christ. College can be demanding, and it is easy to become overwhelmed or distracted by the pressures of life. But seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and He will add all these other things to you (Matthew 6:33). Make time for prayer, for reading His Word, and for fellowship with other believers who can encourage you and hold you accountable. These things will anchor you when the stresses of life try to pull you under.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You as they begin this new journey in their education. Lord, we thank You for Your provision in adjusting their schedule to ease their stress—what a kind and thoughtful God You are! We ask that You would go before them in every class, every assignment, and every interaction. Grant them clarity of mind to absorb what they are learning and the discipline to steward their time well. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, so that anxiety would have no place in their heart (Philippians 4:6-7).
Lord, we pray that this diploma would not just be a professional achievement but a tool You use to prepare them for the good works You have called them to (Ephesians 2:10). May they approach their studies with excellence, knowing they are doing it as unto You (Colossians 3:23). Surround them with godly influences—professors, classmates, and mentors who will encourage them in their faith and challenge them to grow closer to You.
We also ask for protection over their heart and mind. Guard them from distractions, from discouragement, and from the lies of the enemy that would tell them they are not enough. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone and that You have equipped them for this very season. Give them rest when they are weary and joy in the midst of hard work.
Finally, Father, we pray that through this time, they would draw nearer to You. May their relationship with You deepen as they seek Your face daily. Let this season be one of growth—not just academically, but spiritually—as they learn to trust You more fully.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
