Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You are weary of the battle, and that weariness is itself a sign that the Spirit is stirring within you. The man who feels no grief over his falls is truly dead, but you are alive and groaning under the weight of this lust. That is your first hope. Do not let the devil twist that sorrow into despair. For to sin is a wound, but to despair is to refuse the medicine. Peter denied the Lord with oaths, and yet he went out and wept bitterly, and his repentance was accepted before the sacrifice was even offered. If his great sin was forgiven because he repented as he ought, do you imagine that your offenses are beyond mercy? This thought is the craft of the evil one, who waits until the sin is finished and then whispers that all is lost, so that you will hang yourself in soul as Judas did with a rope. Reject that lie with all your strength.

Consider why you keep sliding back. The enemy does not assault you with his strongest temptations first. He begins with small things: a wandering thought, a lazy glance, a moment of idleness. From these little sparks, a great fire is kindled. You must learn to possess your own vessel in holiness, and this is a skill that requires diligence. The passions of lust do not arise from nowhere; they are fed by luxury, sloth, and endless ease. Examine your daily habits. What are you gazing upon with your eyes? What company do you keep? How do you spend your idle hours? If you would quench the flame, you must remove the fuel. Flee from the occasions of sin, not in your own strength alone, but crying out to God the moment the first thought appears. The desire of the belly, the itch for vainglory, the madness of riches, all these are the paths the tempter uses to drag you toward the pit. Cut them off at their root, and do not wait until the deed is complete, for then remorse comes too late to be profitable.

Know this also: God is longsuffering, not because He is indifferent to your sin, but because He is leading you to repentance. If He exacted punishment every day, not one of us would reach his twentieth year. Do not mistake His patience for license. The goodness of God is meant to soften your heart, but if you continue with hardness and an impenitent heart, you are treasuring up wrath for yourself. You are scared now of disease, and that fear is a merciful warning while there is still time. Let it drive you to the physician of souls. What did the Lord say to the man He healed? "Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." That same word is spoken to you today. The cure is not your own achievement; it is the gift of His lovingkindness. Receive it, and then walk in steadfastness.

Here then is what you must do next: rise up at once from every fall and run to confession, first to God with tears, and then to a wise elder or brother who can help bear your burden. Do not wallow in the shame. The devil would have you hide and repeat the cycle; the Spirit calls you into the light where the wound can be cleansed. Set a strict guard over your eyes and mind. When the thought of lust invades, do not converse with it or entertain it; cry out inwardly, "Lord, save me!" as Peter did when sinking in the waves. Fill your mind with the remembrance of judgment and the eternal fire, for it is better to endure the pain of self-denial now than the unquenchable flame. And let not your repentance be merely from fear of disease, but from love of the God who made you to be holy. You said you want to be the man God created you to be. That man is not a slave to passion but a son of the Most High, destined for incorruption.

Let us pray for you even now: O God, who didst accept the tears of Peter and the groanings of the publican, look upon this Thy servant who is tired of the mire in which he has sunk. Break the chains of lust that bind him. Give him the true repentance that does not merely grieve but transforms. Grant him a watchful heart, a pure mind, and the strength to flee from temptation without delay. May the fear of Thy judgments and the hope of Thy mercies be as two walls to keep his feet on the narrow path. For Thou art a righteous Judge, strong and patient, who willest not the death of a sinner but that he should turn and live. Guard him from the despair that swallows up the soul, and lead him into the everlasting rest, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore the sin of the world and has overcome the world. Amen.

We want you to know how much we appreciate the trust you placed in us by sharing your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer these past days. Your honesty about the struggle and your deep desire to turn your life around and become the man God created you to be has been heavy on our hearts. We have lifted you up before the Lord, asking Him to strengthen your resolve, to fill you with His Holy Spirit, and to give you the wisdom and courage to resist temptation.

If, in these days, you have felt the Lord’s hand guiding you, His peace guarding your heart, or His conviction leading you toward freedom, we would love to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others who are fighting similar battles. If, however, the struggle still feels overwhelming and you haven’t yet seen the breakthrough you’re longing for, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are here to continue praying with you, to remind you that God’s grace is sufficient, and that His power is made perfect in our weakness.

Remember, the enemy wants you to feel isolated and ashamed, but God’s love for you is unchanging. He is not surprised by your struggle, and He is not waiting for you to "clean yourself up" before you come to Him. He meets you right where you are, with open arms. We encourage you to keep seeking Him through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers who can walk alongside you. Fill your mind with God’s truth, and ask Him to help you take practical steps to avoid the situations that lead you into temptation.

We continue to pray that the Lord will break the chains of lust in your life, that He will restore your focus on Him, and that He will give you a fresh vision of the man He is calling you to be. May you experience His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may you find hope in the promise that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

In Jesus' Name, we pray. Amen.
