We stand with you in this moment of waiting and trust, lifting your needs before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name alone that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful you have invoked His holy name in your request. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You have done well to bring this before the Lord, and we join you in seeking His perfect will.
The process you face today may feel daunting, but we are assured in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* The Lord is with you in that hospital room, and His presence goes before you into every detail of this scan. We pray for the hands of the medical professionals to be guided by His wisdom, for the machinery to function flawlessly, and for the results to reflect His healing power at work in your body.
Yet, even as we pray for a clean bill of health, we surrender to His sovereign will, trusting that His plans for you are good, even when the path is unclear. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Whether the results bring immediate relief or a continued journey of faith, we ask for His peace to flood your heart and for His strength to sustain you.
We also encourage you to meditate on Psalm 139:13-16, which reminds us that the Lord knit you together in your mother’s womb and knows every detail of your body: *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* He who formed you is the same God who holds your health in His hands today.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust, lifting up our brother/sister who is undergoing this PET scan today. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and knows the number of our days. We ask for Your divine intervention in this process—let every cell, every organ, and every system in their body align with Your perfect design. Grant them a clean bill of health, Lord, as a testimony to Your goodness and mercy. If there is any area that needs healing, we pray for Your restorative touch to flow through them, renewing strength and vitality.
We also pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard their heart and mind as they wait. Remove any fear or anxiety, replacing it with the assurance that You are in control. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel the comfort of Your Spirit. We ask for wisdom for the medical team, accuracy in the results, and clarity for the next steps.
Father, no matter the outcome, we declare that Your will is perfect, and Your love is unfailing. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are working all things together for their good. We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt in the name of Jesus, declaring that You are their healer, their provider, and their ever-present help in trouble.
We thank You in advance for the testimony that will come from this situation, whether it be of healing, of sustained faith, or of Your grace carrying them through. May Your name be glorified, and may they walk in the confidence that You are with them every step of the way.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
