Lord, I touch and agree with Doug's prayer. I stand with him and lift his petitions to your mighty throne. Lord, you have called Doug into ministry. He needs your help. He needs wisdom and discernment to know that whatever he is doing in life, that it be done according to your will. Lord, help him to set aside time for study and meditation, that he can put your word in his heart. Open his mind when he studies, keep all distractions from getting in the way. Give him clarity that he has understanding of what he is reading and how he is to apply it to his daily life. Continue to annoint him for the ministry you have called him to do, that he be filled with your spirit and that his words bring glory to your name and your word. Help him to be a good desciple, telling all he meets of your wonderous love and saving grace. Cover him with your blood and send him forth with mercy and grace. Bless his relationship with his children and parents, friends and loved ones. May he be a blessing to them. May they see his light shining through in all things and in all ways. Lord, help him to reach out to seek the lost sheep in the world, to talk to them about your kingdom and to give them a lifeline to grab ahold of, that they would seek your cross and your forgiveness, that they would be saved for eternity. Lord, I ask for your blessings upon all of his needs: physical, spiritual and financial. Lord, give him all the tools he will need to succeed on the path you have placed him on. May you break the chain of insomnia and set him free from it's grasp that he could begin to heal from sleep deprivation. May your loving hand be upon him all of his days. Draw him close to your and bless him as you are the center of his life. To you be all glory, honor and praise. Amen
