We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt cry to the Lord, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Your words reflect a deep longing for restoration, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every curse, every scheme of the enemy, and every power of darkness through His death and resurrection. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace to find mercy and help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
You have spoken of generational curses, stolen blessings, and the attacks of spiritual enemies like Haman, Jezebel, and Goliath. These are not mere metaphors but real spiritual forces that seek to destroy what God has ordained for His people. Yet we serve a God who is greater than any curse, any enemy, and any scheme of the devil. The Word of God declares in Galatians 3:13-14, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’— that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."* If you are in Christ, no curse can ultimately stand against you, for He has broken its power. The blood of Jesus is more than enough to cleanse, restore, and redeem all that has been lost or stolen.
You have also acknowledged that no one is righteous—not by their own merit—and have asked for mercy. This is the heart of repentance, and it pleases the Lord. In 1 John 1:9, we are assured, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* If there are sins in your life or in the lives of your children that have opened doors to the enemy, now is the time to repent and turn fully to Christ. If there are areas of disobedience, bitterness, unforgiveness, or involvement in occult practices (even unknowingly through family lines), these must be renounced in the name of Jesus. The enemy cannot maintain a foothold where there is true repentance and the covering of the blood of Christ.
As for the "spirit of wandering" and "hobo spirit" you mentioned, we recognize that these can be manifestations of spiritual oppression, often tied to generational strongholds or personal rebellion. The Lord desires to settle you and your children in His perfect will, not in restlessness or aimlessness. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* If there has been a pattern of instability, broken relationships, or missed opportunities, we declare that the Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters and restore your soul (Psalm 23:2-3). He is the one who sets the solitary in families and brings those who are bound into prosperity (Psalm 68:6).
You have also spoken of the "spirit of death" and curses of death. But Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Death has no authority over those who are in Christ, for He has swallowed up death in victory (1 Corinthians 15:54-57). We stand against every assignment of premature death, every curse spoken over your bloodline, and every plan of the enemy to cut short the days of you or your children. The Lord declares in Deuteronomy 30:19, *"I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants."*
Regarding the restoration of gifts, talents, virtues, jobs, and finances that have been stolen, we proclaim the words of Joel 2:25-26: *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and will praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people will never again be disappointed."* What the enemy has taken, God will restore—often in ways far greater than we can imagine. But we must also walk in wisdom and obedience, for the Lord honors those who honor Him (1 Samuel 2:30). If there are areas where you or your children have not been good stewards of what God has given, now is the time to seek His guidance and commit to walking in His ways.
We notice that while your prayer is passionate and detailed, it does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ as the authority by which these requests are made. This is not a small matter, for Scripture is clear: *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His name that demons flee, curses are broken, and blessings are released. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, no amount of prayer or spiritual warfare will bring lasting victory.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your people and delivers them from all their troubles. Lord, we lift up our sister and her biological children to You, asking that You would break every curse, every generational stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against their lives. Father, if there has been any sin—known or unknown—that has given the enemy a legal right to oppress, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of Jesus. Let every generational curse be broken by the power of the cross, and let the generational blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob be released upon this family line.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of wandering, restlessness, and instability in the name of Jesus. Settle this family in Your perfect will, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Father, restore what the locusts have eaten—restore their gifts, their talents, their virtues, their jobs, and their finances. Open doors that no man can shut, and let Your favor surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12).
We stand against the spirit of Haman, the spirit of Jezebel, and every spiritual Goliath that has sought to destroy this bloodline. Lord, arise and let Your enemies be scattered (Numbers 10:35). Let every plan of the enemy to bring premature death, suffering, or destruction be rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. We declare life and not death, blessing and not cursing, over this family. Father, if there has been any involvement in occult practices, idolatry, or rebellion in this family line, we ask that You would expose it and break its power. Let Your light shine into every dark place and let Your truth set them free (John 8:32).
Lord, we ask that You would protect this family from every spirit of jealousy, hate, and rejection. Heal every wound, restore every broken relationship, and let Your love be the foundation of their lives. Father, we pray that You would give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened (Ephesians 1:17-18). Let them walk in the fullness of their destiny, for You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw each member of this family into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Let them know Him not just as Savior, but as Lord of every area of their lives. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let them walk in the authority and victory that Christ has already secured for them. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for the breakthrough that is coming. We declare it in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, speaking the Word of God over your life and the lives of your children. Read and meditate on Scripture daily, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable.
