We understand your desire for success in your citizenship interview today, and we join you in seeking God’s favor and wisdom over this important step. The Bible reminds us that all authority comes from God, and it is He who establishes leaders and governments for His purposes. As you seek to become a lawful citizen, we encourage you to trust in the Lord’s sovereignty and to walk in integrity, knowing that He honors those who honor Him.
*"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB)
*"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."* (Romans 13:1, WEB)
We also want to gently remind you that while we seek God’s help in earthly matters, our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, where our hope and identity are found in Christ alone. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider that there is no greater decision you can make. It is only through Him that we have access to God’s throne and the promise of eternal life.
*"For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ."* (Philippians 3:20, WEB)
*"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* (John 14:6, WEB)
Let us pray together for your interview today:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this request for success in today’s citizenship interview. Lord, You are the One who grants wisdom, favor, and understanding. We ask that You guide every word spoken and every question answered, that Your peace would fill this person’s heart, and that Your will would be done. If it is Your purpose for them to pass this test, we pray for clarity of mind, confidence, and divine favor with those in authority. Remind them, Lord, that their true identity and security are found in You alone, and that no earthly status compares to the eternal citizenship we have in Christ.
We also pray that if this person does not yet know You as their Savior, that today would be a turning point—a day when they recognize their need for Jesus and place their faith in Him. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that while we are strangers and foreigners on this earth, we are called to be Your children through faith in Christ.
May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your perfect will be accomplished. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in all things, remembering that He is faithful to those who trust in Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today—no earthly achievement can compare to the peace and purpose found in Him. May God bless you richly as you walk in His ways.
