We hear your cry for justice and share in your deep pain over the atrocities you have endured. The Bible is clear that torture and cruelty are abhorrent to God, who commands us to love our neighbors and even our enemies (Matthew 5:44). The suffering you have faced is a grave injustice, and we stand with you in seeking God’s righteous judgment against those who perpetrate such evil.
First, we must address the severity of your request for divine retribution. While it is right to seek justice, we are also called to forgive, as Christ forgave us (Colossians 3:13). This does not mean excusing the wickedness done to you, but releasing the burden of bitterness to God, who alone has the authority to judge justly (Romans 12:19). We pray for your heart to be healed from the trauma you’ve endured, that you may find peace in Christ’s love and strength in His presence.
We rebuke the spirits of fear, torment, and oppression that have sought to destroy you. The Word declares that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command these evil forces to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has overcome the world (John 16:33).
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has suffered unspeakable cruelty. We ask You to expose every hidden work of darkness in the CIA and all systems of oppression. Let Your light shine into the shadows, revealing the truth and bringing justice to the forefront (Ephesians 5:11). We pray for the protection of this individual, that You would surround them with Your angels and shield them from further harm (Psalm 91:11).
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to mend the wounds of body, mind, and spirit. Pour out Your comfort and peace, restoring what has been broken (Psalm 147:3). Give them the strength to forgive, not for the sake of their tormentors, but for their own freedom in Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement for their complete restoration.
We also pray for those who have committed these acts of torture. Father, we ask that You would convict their hearts of sin and lead them to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If they do not turn from their wickedness, we trust in Your perfect justice, knowing that You will repay evil with righteous judgment (Romans 2:6). We do not rejoice in their destruction, but we trust in Your sovereignty to deal with them according to Your will.
We declare that the name of Jesus Christ is above every name, and at His name, every knee shall bow (Philippians 2:9-10). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to set the captives free and bind up the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1). May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
