Beloved of All
I do not go to church anymore because wherever i go to get abused by some members there is a lie that they have made up about me in the name of Jesus Christ amen

We hear the pain in your words and we grieve with you over what you have endured, for it is a deep wound to be hurt inside the very place where you should find refuge and truth. We want you to know that God sees what has been done to you, He knows the lies that have been spoken about you, and He is close to you in this hurt. As it is written, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18.

We must speak clearly about two things together. First, what was done to you is wrong and God condemns it. To use the name of Jesus Christ to cover a lie is to take His name in vain, which violates His command You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain Exodus 20:7. The Lord hates a lying tongue and a false witness who utters lies Proverbs 6:16-19, and we are warned that a false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies shall not go free Proverbs 19:5. Abuse and slander among members of the body of Christ is sin, and those who have abused you and lied about you will give account to God, for it is written Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. We rebuke that sin and we pray that those who have harmed you would be convicted, repent, and seek forgiveness.

At the same time, we want to gently encourage you not to let the sin of others separate you from the fellowship God intends for you. The church is not a building of perfect people, but a body of forgiven sinners being sanctified, and there will be times when people fail us deeply, even as they failed our Lord who was also lied about and mistreated. Yet Scripture exhorts us not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching Hebrews 10:25. To withdraw completely leaves you without the encouragement, accountability, prayer, and teaching that God uses to heal and strengthen us. We understand your hesitation and the need to protect your heart, but we encourage you to ask the Lord to lead you to a faithful, Bible believing church where the Word is preached truthfully, where sin is addressed biblically, and where you can be loved and protected.

If it is possible, we encourage you to follow the pattern Jesus gave for addressing sin among believers. If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother Matthew 18:15. This may mean sharing your hurt with a godly pastor or elder who can hear you with wisdom and pursue truth and reconciliation. Not every church will handle this well, but a healthy church will listen, seek the truth, and correct those who lie and abuse. We also encourage you to pursue healing through forgiveness, not because what was done was acceptable, but because God has forgiven us so much in Christ. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Forgiveness frees your heart before the Lord, even while you wisely establish boundaries against further abuse.

We pray together for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name we have access to the Father and it is in His name we are comforted.

We pray, Father, that You would heal this wounded heart and bind up what has been broken. We ask that You would expose every lie and let truth prevail, for You are a God of truth and justice. We pray that You would convict those who have abused and lied and bring them to repentance, and that You would protect this dear one from further harm. Lead them, Lord, to a true church family where they will be shepherded faithfully, where they will hear Your Word and be surrounded by believers who will love them sincerely. Restore their trust in Your people and deepen their trust in You, and help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, while also walking in wisdom and peace. We ask that You would remind them daily that You see them, You love them, and You will never leave them nor forsake them. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We are grateful you told us this, even though it is painful to carry. To be mistreated in the very place you hoped to find refuge, and to have a lie spread about you as if it were from Jesus, can leave you feeling exposed and wary of every church door. It makes sense you stepped back.

What you describe is not the way Christ calls His people to treat one another. When religious words are used to manipulate or to control someone's reputation, it harms a person's faith and trust, not just their feelings. That hurt can linger long after you leave the building.

We want to encourage you gently as you consider what healing might look like. You do not have to rush back into a crowded service to seek God. One steady next step could be talking one on one with a single trusted pastor or mature believer outside those circles where you were hurt, someone who will listen without an agenda and help you sort through what happened at your own pace. If you do try a gathering again, going with a safe person and giving yourself permission to leave if you feel unsafe can help.

Father, we bring our friend before You. You see the lies spoken and the pain they caused. Bring comfort, clarity and safe people around them, and guide their steps as they seek You again. Heal what has been wounded and lead them to a place of peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your words have been heard and your sorrow over being hurt within the church is not hidden from the Lord. To be wounded by those who should have shown the love of Christ, and to have lies spoken against you in His holy name, is a grievous trial, and it is no wonder your heart has drawn back from gathering with His people.

Know this first, there is forgiveness with God, and it is to be obtained from Him alone through Jesus Christ His Son. Men may fail, they may speak falsely even while taking the name of Jesus upon their lips, but the Lord does not so deal with you. What He promises is a divine forgiveness, a surprising forgiveness, a complete forgiveness. The record of debt is nailed to the Cross for every repenting and believing sinner who comes to Christ, without condition and without reserve. If you tremble under sin and desire to be made clean, that forgiveness is for you, whatever your past has been, and it is given now, at this moment, through the blood of the Just for the unjust that He might bring us to God.

With that forgiveness comes healing. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus said to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, pardon and healing were one. Your wound is not only from the unkindness of others, but from the sin that wounds us all, and Christ has abundant streams of healing flowing down to those who look to Him. He not only forgave at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is eternal, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

You are called also to admire and to imitate that forgiveness. Even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. This does not mean that what was done to you was right, or that lies told in the name of Christ are to be excused, for they are not of Christ at all. Revenge is paltry, but forgiveness is great minded, and it frees your own soul from bitterness. To forgive as you have been forgiven is to open your hands as Christ has opened His to you. They may be ashamed when they see that you cannot be provoked except to greater love, yet your forgiveness of them rests in the strength of the forgiveness you have first received from God.

Do not let the sin of others keep you forever from the assembly of the saints, though wisdom may require care in where you gather. The Church of God should feel a peculiar care for the poor and needy and wounded, as those handed over in the love of Christ to His people that they might care for them. Pray that the Lord will lead you to a faithful congregation where the Word is preached truly and where you are not made to bear a false burden, but are borne up in prayer. If you have been long in bondage through this hurt, hear the Lord proclaim oblivion to all your debt and freedom to serve Him, not in fear of men, but in love to Him who healed you.

Let us pray together. O Lord, You see this wounded one who has been grieved by lies spoken in Your name. Grant present forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, and with it the removal of the sickness of heart. Let the healing leaves of Christ be applied to this bruised spirit. Teach this soul to believe in the forgiveness of sins for itself, and to walk in forgiveness toward those who have done evil, and lead by Your Spirit to a place of true fellowship where Your name is honoured in truth and love. Keep this one from despair, for there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The hurt you describe is real and grievous, to be spoken against falsely and to have the name of Jesus used to cover a lie. That wounds doubly, both by the untruth itself and by the misuse of the holy name, and it is no wonder your heart has drawn back from gathering with others.

Know this, God is not deceived by what is said in His name. Every idle word will be accounted for before Him, and He sees the truth about you when others do not. Your choice and your judgment before Him remain your own, and no lie of man can settle your standing with Christ. He who is the head of the Church knows His members.

The abuse you have suffered at the hands of some is not Christ. The Church is His body throughout the world, made of many parts, and we are called to be at peace with that whole body. When a part causes hurt, the pain is felt by all, but the answer is not to cut yourself off forever from the body. Even a house where piety and fear of God dwell can be a church, as with Aquila and Priscilla, and God can provide a faithful place where you are received with truth and care. Do not give up seeking a sound fellowship where the word of God is taught plainly and where shepherds watch with grace.

When you have been treated as an enemy, do not return reviling for reviling. Keep your heart free from passion and unwounded within. The way to overcome is not to pray against those who have harmed you, for that adds sin to sin, but to pray for them, to do good where you can, and to leave judgment to God. In this you heap coals of fire upon their heads and you keep yourself from being harmed more deeply in your soul.

If you seek to return, do so with wisdom. Look for a place where the word is heard with reverence, where faith comes by hearing, and where people will listen to your story without rushing to judgment. Bring a trusted believer with you if needed, speak plainly and quietly with those in leadership about what has happened, and set healthy boundaries. If a place continues in falsehood and abuse, it is right to step away from that place while still seeking the true fellowship Christ gives.

I pray for you now. Father in heaven, You know the lies spoken and the pain carried. Heal this wounded heart, vindicate the truth, and let no false word in Your name stand uncorrected by Your justice and mercy. Give comfort and strength, guard this soul from bitterness, and lead to a faithful gathering where Your word is heard and Your people walk in love. Draw this one closer to Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, and keep this life rooted in Him. Grant peace and hope and the courage to hear Your voice again among Your people. Amen.

Your pain comes through very clearly and it is understandable why you would step back when you have been hurt in the place where you should have found safety. Being mistreated by people and then hearing lies told about you in the name of Jesus is a heavy wound, and God does not take that lightly.

From the beginning the New Testament warns that not everyone who claims to speak for the Lord is truly speaking for Him. Jesus and the apostles told the church to expect deceivers and false prophets, people who use the name of the Lord for their own ideas and advantage. They often sound convincing because they mix in some truth, and they often say what people want to hear, but Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. The test is not how boldly someone claims to speak for God, but whether their life and message line up with Scripture and whether their bottom line seeks to serve Christ or themselves. Signs, strong words, or claiming to prophesy are not proof that God is speaking.

Scripture also warns about how destructive false accusations are. That is why the Bible says not to receive an accusation against a leader or against any person without two or three witnesses. A lie can destroy a reputation and create a cloud of suspicion that is very hard to remove, and God calls that evil. He sees what is done in secret and He knows the truth about you when others repeat what is false.

The history of those who claim to follow Christ includes shameful chapters where people have acted without love. There is no defense for that. Jesus said that when love grows cold, His presence is grieved. A group may carry the name of church and still lack the love and presence of the Holy Spirit, and that lack of love is itself a sign that something is wrong, not a reflection of Jesus Himself.

Please hear that the unkindness and lies of people do not define who you are before God. He knows you fully and He is just and compassionate. He is not the author of abuse, and He does not bless lies told in His name.

I pray that the Lord will heal the hurt that has been inflicted on you, that He will quiet the power of those false words, and that He will remind you daily that you are seen and loved by Him. I pray He will give you wisdom to set healthy boundaries, to guard your heart from bitterness, and in His time to find a small, safe fellowship where Scripture is taught faithfully and where love is real, not because you need to prove anything, but because we are made to walk with others who will speak the truth in love. Even as you have stepped away for protection, you do not have to walk alone. Jesus Himself remains faithful, and He invites you to bring every wound directly to Him, for He understands rejection and false accusation more than anyone.

May the Lord give you peace, restore what has been broken, and lead you step by step into healing.
