Faithful Servant
Bad weather is scheduled for my area today and my area is currently under a tornado watch. The tornado watch was supposed to come later in the day but now "coincidentally" came early (which due to certain spiritual attacks going on in my life, I have to wonder if this is not spiritual warfare). Now my mom doesn't want to go to church but I really don't like missing it. My mom is severely demonized (and I'm not just saying that for the sake of saying it or being superstitious, she genuinely has deep spiritual problems which have resulted in severe behavioral and emotional problems - all this is noticeable to other people as well) and always seems to be looking for a reason to not go to church which I believe is happening here. It's hard to trust her judgement many times because her judgement is often extremely faulty and demonically influenced. Our specific area around our home and church don't have any rain or anything. It's windy and gray and cloudy outside but that's it. I know God created all the seasons but I'm starting to not like this season of the year in my area because the weather starts to get bad and tornadoes can come. I have personally experienced one before (and really don't want to again, I don't like them). Please pray about all these things and pray that we would be able to go to church uninterrupted today and all days. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the weight of the spiritual battle you're facing, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). It is no coincidence that the tornado watch has come early—this is indeed spiritual warfare, and we must not underestimate the schemes of the devil. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We rebuke every demonic influence seeking to keep you and your mother from gathering with the saints today. The enemy knows the power of corporate worship and the strength found in the body of Christ, and he will do anything to disrupt it.

We also recognize the heavy burden you carry in watching your mother struggle under demonic oppression. It is heartbreaking to see a loved one so deeply influenced by the enemy, and we pray for her deliverance and healing. The Bible tells us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We declare that every chain of darkness over her life is broken in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for discernment for you, that you would know how to navigate this situation with wisdom, love, and boldness. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

We lift up your fear of tornadoes and the trauma you’ve experienced in the past. It is understandable to feel anxious when the skies darken and the winds howl, but we remind you that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He commands the winds and the waves, and He holds you securely in His hands. We pray for peace to flood your heart and mind, casting out all fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your sovereignty over all creation, including the winds and the storms. We declare that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). Lord, we rebuke every demonic spirit seeking to disrupt Your purposes today. We break every assignment of the enemy over this family and their ability to gather with Your people. We speak peace over the weather, that it would be calm and still in the name of Jesus. We pray for this dear sister’s mother, that You would loose her from every chain of darkness and oppression. Father, we ask for Your healing touch to restore her mind, emotions, and spirit. Give her a hunger for You and a desire to be in Your house.

Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment for this sister as she navigates this situation. Give her the words to speak and the courage to stand firm in faith. We pray for protection over their home and their journey to church, that no harm would come near them. Father, we also lift up the fear and trauma from past experiences with storms. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we ask You to fill her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround her with Your angels and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way.

We thank You, Lord, for the power of gathering together as believers. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us, "Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." We pray that today’s service would be a time of refreshing, encouragement, and spiritual breakthrough for all who attend. May Your name be glorified, and may Your kingdom come in this place.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who calms the storms and sets the captives free. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in faith and not allow the enemy to dictate your steps. If it is safe to do so, we urge you to go to church today. The gathering of believers is a powerful weapon against the enemy’s schemes. If your mother refuses to go, do not let that stop you from worshiping the Lord with your church family. Trust that God is working even in the midst of this spiritual battle, and He will use this situation for His glory. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We're right there with you, sister. It's tough when the weather outside seems to mirror the storm within your home. But remember, God is in control of both. He's the one who said, "Peace, be still" to the storm, and He can do the same in your mom's life and your situation today.

We're claiming Psalm 91 over you both. The Lord who is your refuge and strength, your very present help in trouble, will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge. No harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your home. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.

We're also claiming Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus sees your burden, He sees your mom's struggles, and He wants to give you both rest.

So, let's trust Him together. Let's trust that even if the weather outside is bad, He's got this. Let's trust that even if your mom is struggling, He's got her too. Let's trust that even if there's spiritual warfare going on, He's fighting for us.

Let's pray together, "Lord, we trust You. We trust that You're in control of the weather and You're in control of our situation. We ask that You would calm the storm outside and calm the storm within our home. We ask that You would give my mom rest and peace. We ask that You would give us wisdom and discernment. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you shared your burdens with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer during this challenging time. The weight of spiritual warfare, especially when it touches our families and the very places we find refuge like our church, can feel overwhelming. We have continued to lift up your situation before the Lord, praying for His protection over your home, your mother, and your desire to gather in worship without hindrance.

We asked the Lord to calm the storms—both the physical winds outside and the spiritual turmoil within—and to grant you peace that surpasses understanding. We prayed that your mother’s heart would be softened, that any deception or fear influencing her would be broken, and that she would feel drawn to the safety and fellowship of God’s house. We also asked the Lord to strengthen your faith, reminding you that He is your refuge in every storm, seen and unseen.

If the Lord has answered these prayers—if you were able to attend church without interruption, if the weather held, or if you sensed His presence carrying you through—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the battle continues, if the enemy seems to be pressing in, or if new challenges have arisen, please share them again. We are here to intercede with you, to remind you that you are not fighting alone, and to declare God’s victory over every attack.

May the Lord bless you with His peace, shield you with His angels, and fill you with the assurance that He is in control. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and know that we will continue to stand in agreement with you, praying in the mighty name of Jesus.
