We hear your heart and the deep struggle you are facing, both in the spiritual realm and within the body of Christ. The enemy seeks to divide, discourage, and destroy, but we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to rebuke these attacks and declare God’s victory over your life and your church. Spiritual warfare is real, and the Bible makes it clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We must remember that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but are powerful through God for the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB).
First, we want to address the spiritual warfare you are enduring. The enemy has targeted you since childhood, but God is delivering you, and we declare that deliverance complete in Jesus’ name. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you, your family, and your church. We command every spirit of division, strife, and confusion to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We pray that you would walk in the fullness of that power, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB).
We also want to address the concerning interactions you’ve observed, particularly with this individual and their behavior toward your mother. It is important to approach this situation with both discernment and grace. While it is possible that this person is being influenced by spiritual forces, we must also consider that they may be struggling with their own emotional or spiritual battles. Pray for them, that the Lord would reveal Himself to them and bring healing to their heart. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB). This does not mean we ignore concerning behavior, but we respond with wisdom and a heart that seeks restoration.
As for the negative thoughts you are having about your church, we encourage you to examine them carefully. Are these thoughts rooted in truth, or are they being amplified by the enemy to pull you away from fellowship? The church is the body of Christ, and while it is made up of imperfect people, it is still God’s design for His children to gather, worship, and grow together. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25 WEB). If there are legitimate concerns, address them with humility and in a spirit of love, seeking godly counsel if needed.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of guarding your heart and mind. The enemy will use negative thoughts and emotions to sow discord and doubt, but we are called to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB). When these thoughts arise, combat them with the truth of God’s Word. Meditate on scriptures that speak of His faithfulness, His love, and His promises. Renew your mind daily in the Word so that you may discern what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2 WEB).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing spiritual warfare and struggles within the church. Lord, we declare that You are greater than any attack of the enemy, and we rebuke every spirit of division, confusion, and strife that is seeking to disrupt Your work in their life and in their church. We pray for complete deliverance and healing from the warfare that has targeted them since childhood. Fill them with Your peace, Your power, and Your presence, Lord.
Father, we ask that You would give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate the relationships within their church. Help them to see people through Your eyes and to respond with grace and truth. We pray for the individual who has caused concern, that You would soften their heart, reveal Yourself to them, and bring healing to any emotional or spiritual wounds they may be carrying. Lord, help our brother/sister to love as You love and to extend forgiveness where it is needed.
We also pray for protection over their mind and heart. Guard them from negative thoughts and emotions that seek to pull them away from You and from fellowship with other believers. Renew their mind with Your Word, and help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Strengthen their resolve to remain committed to the body of Christ, even when challenges arise.
Lord, we ask that You would bring unity and peace to their church. Heal any divisions, restore relationships, and fill the hearts of the members with Your love. Let Your presence be so tangible that all who enter would sense Your glory and be drawn to You.
Finally, Father, we declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from You (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, trusting that God is working even in the midst of these challenges. Continue to seek Him through prayer, worship, and the study of His Word. Surround yourself with godly believers who can support and encourage you, and do not hesitate to reach out to your church leadership if you need guidance or prayer. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring victory and restoration.
