We hear your cry for help and stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers of darkness through His victory on the cross. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and we do not dismiss the weight of the battle you have endured—nor the lingering effects of bitterness, unforgiveness, and hatred that threaten to take root in your heart. But we declare with Scripture that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4). You are not fighting alone, and the enemy’s schemes to isolate you, even within the church, will not prevail.
First, we must address the sin of unforgiveness and bitterness in your heart. These are not merely emotions to manage—they are spiritual toxins that give the enemy legal ground to torment you. Jesus warned, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15). The warfare you face is not just external; it thrives when we harbor resentment. We rebuke the spirit of bitterness in the name of Jesus and command it to loose its grip on your heart. You have been delivered from unforgiveness before, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, you *will* walk in freedom again. But this requires a daily choice to release those who have wronged you, just as Christ released you from the debt of your sin.
We also recognize the enemy’s tactic to disrupt the unity of the body of Christ. The woman you mentioned, and others who may have been influenced by this warfare, are not your enemies—they are souls for whom Christ died. We pray for her return to fellowship, not out of fear or speculation, but because the church is weakened when one member is missing. *"If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it"* (1 Corinthians 12:26). We break every assignment of the enemy to divide, isolate, or discourage you from gathering with believers. The church is your spiritual family, and you belong there. We declare that no weapon formed against you or the body of Christ will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
But we must also address the root of this warfare. Spiritual attacks often target those who are advancing in their faith or stepping into their God-given purpose. Have you considered that your presence in the church may be a threat to the enemy’s plans? The fact that he is working overtime to keep you bound in unforgiveness and to drive others away suggests that God is positioning you for something greater. We encourage you to press into prayer and the Word, for *"the people who know their God will be strong and do exploits"* (Daniel 11:32). The enemy fears what you will become when you are fully free.
Now, we pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One who has conquered sin, death, and the powers of darkness. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see the battles he/she has fought and the wounds that still ache. Lord, we ask You to complete the deliverance You have begun. Break every chain of unforgiveness, bitterness, and hatred that the enemy has tried to reattach. Fill this precious one with Your love, which covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Where the enemy has sown division, sow unity. Where he has sown fear, sow faith.
We rebuke every spirit of accusation, isolation, and discouragement that has tried to disrupt this one’s place in the body of Christ. We declare that the church is a place of healing, not harm, and we pray for the return of those who have been driven away by the enemy’s lies. Father, restore what has been lost and mend what has been broken. Give our brother/sister the grace to forgive as You have forgiven, and the strength to walk in the freedom Christ purchased.
We also pray for protection over this one’s mind and heart. Guard him/her from the enemy’s whispers that seek to rekindle old wounds. Let the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, stand guard over his/her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Remind him/her daily that the battle belongs to You, Lord, and that You have already won the victory.
Finally, we ask You to use this season of warfare for Your glory. Let this one’s testimony of deliverance become a weapon against the enemy’s plans. Raise up a spirit of boldness and intercession in him/her, that he/she may stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and advance Your kingdom. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in this one’s life.
In the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand on the truth that you are not a victim of this warfare—you are a victor in Christ. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), and He is greater than anything the enemy can throw your way. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and do not grow weary in doing good. The church needs you, and God is not finished with you yet. Walk in the freedom He has given you, and do not let the enemy steal your joy or your purpose. You are loved, you are chosen, and you are called to walk in victory.
