My spouse & I pastor a church that I am afraid is dying; we keep losing leaders, there is strife, people are so burdened by their own issues it feels like it is just a meeting every week and any guests we have do not feel the love and power of God, I suspect. It has caused a deep depression in me and questioning if we should even be in ministry as it seems things are falling apart as much as we believe we give it to God. Please pray that God does something miraculous at our church, in mine and my spouse's heart--that He speaks loud and clear to us and makes His will known and done despite any of our weaknesses. I know it is nothing in my power but His.
Christ in you the hope of glory. Christ in you, raises the dead, lays hands on the sick, casts out devils. Father I ask you give this family the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, that their eyes be flooded with light...
Psalms 103:1-5 Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all his benefits...
who forgives all your iniquities, there is no sin that has not been forgiven, and as we walk in the knowledge of who God is and Jesus and know that He that raised Christ from the dead, at salvation, raised us up also. In forgiving all our iniquities, as far as the east is from the west, so far He has removed them, He healed all our diseases. And because we no longer live from a sin nature, born of the spirit, you must be born again of the Spirit, we live from that place of victory. So He forgives us, heals us, and because of that, we are redeemed from destruction, now He has crowned us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. From this place of born again, we are given the good word, He fills our mouth with good and renews our youth as the eagles. It takes renewing the mind, letting go of the things of the past, and taking hold of what God has given to us, in Christ.
There is peace with God. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
In the name of Jesus I cast off that spirit of depression that has kept you from walking in truth, and I say, LIGHT BE, and Father, I thank you that this pastor and his wife are children of light, because You are the father of lights. I bless this pastor and his wife with peace and ask that Your would open hearts and minds in his congregation to newness of life in Christ. In Jesus name. Amen.
