We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for the privilege to intercede for the spiritual vitality of church leaders, the salvation of the lost, and the deepening of worship and devotion among God’s people. Father, we lift up those who shepherd Your flock, asking that You would ignite within them a fervent devotional life, one marked by prayer, the study of Your Word, and an intimate hearing of Your voice. May they be men and women after Your own heart, like David, who lead with humility, integrity, and an unshakable dependence on You. Strengthen them to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to distract, discourage, and dilute the power of the gospel. We pray that their lives would be living epistles, read and known by all, reflecting the transforming power of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:2-3).
Lord, we cry out for the lost within our churches and beyond. You have declared that no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44), and so we ask that You would draw many to Yourself through the preaching of Your Word, the testimonies of Your saints, and the faithful witness of Your people. Open blind eyes to see the beauty of Jesus, the Messiah, as Peter confessed by divine revelation (Matthew 16:17). Let the Holy Spirit convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and grant repentance that leads to life (Acts 11:18). We plead for salvations, baptisms, and a harvest of souls who will walk in newness of life, no longer conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2).
Father, we ask that You would cultivate in Your people a hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6), a deep longing for Your Word that satisfies like nothing else (1 Peter 2:2). May our churches be houses of prayer, where worship ascends in spirit and truth (John 4:24), and where the Holy Spirit moves freely, anointing the preaching and teaching of Your Word with power. Guard our tongues, Lord, that we may speak life and not death, edification and not destruction (James 3:1-12). Let our gatherings be marked by the unity of the Spirit, the bond of peace, and a love that covers a multitude of sins (Ephesians 4:3; 1 Peter 4:8).
We rebuke the spirit of lukewarmness and complacency that seeks to creep into the body of Christ. Stir within us a holy discontent with the status quo, a passion to see Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Raise up men and women who will boldly proclaim the gospel, not with clever words of human wisdom, but with demonstrations of the Spirit’s power (1 Corinthians 2:4-5). Open doors for the Word that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8), and order our steps in divine appointments where lives are eternally changed (Proverbs 16:9).
Lord, we pray for the families in our churches, those who are faithful and those who are straying. Draw them to Yourself, that they may hear Your voice and follow You (John 10:27). Protect them from the deception of the evil one, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). May our homes be places where Your Word is honored, prayer is practiced, and love abounds. We ask that You would knit our families together in unity, that the world may know that You sent Jesus and have loved us even as You have loved Him (John 17:23).
We also lift up those in authority over us, whether in the church, our communities, or our nations. You have commanded us to pray for all who are in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness (1 Timothy 2:1-2). We ask that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and a fear of the Lord, that they may govern justly and uphold what is right in Your sight. Let the gospel penetrate their hearts, that they too may come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved.
Father, we thank You for the message of Jesus Christ, the Anointed One, who was crucified for our sins and raised for our justification (Romans 4:25). We praise You that in Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of Your grace (Ephesians 1:7). May we never grow weary of proclaiming this good news, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). Let us walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Equip us with spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ and advance Your kingdom (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Him that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are reconciled to You (Ephesians 2:13, 18). We declare that every promise You have made is "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20). May Your will be done in our lives, our churches, and our world, for Your glory and honor. Strengthen us to persevere in faith, knowing that You who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). We love You, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
