I am in need of a church home. I have not been in church regularly for quite a few years and I'm searching for a place where God wants me to be. I have been to several churches in my area and have not i do not feel like they are right for me. Church has definitely changed. There's much less church than there was before and it seems the Holy Spirit has left the building. I am a born again Christian man for many, many years and I want to be where God's will wants me to be. My life has recently been completely turned inside out and upside-down. God has shaken me to my core and put me through testing that I have never experienced in my ### years on earth. I feel like now is the time and God is calling His chosen to make their lives right with Him and prepare for His return.

"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your guidance and wisdom for our brother who is seeking a church home. Give him the discernment to know where you would have him be, and the courage to go and be a part of that body of believers. We ask that you would prepare a place for him, and that he would find a family of believers who are earnestly seeking you and your will. We ask this in Jesus' name.

It's important to remember that the church is not just a building, but a body of believers. As the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:12 WEB, "For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ." The church should be a place where the Holy Spirit is actively working, and where believers are being edified and encouraged.

Regarding the changes you've seen in churches, remember that times and styles may change, but God's word does not. It's important to find a church that is biblically sound and teaches the word of God faithfully, being careful to avoid drifting along with every wind of change. As it says in 2 Timothy 4:3 WEB, "For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts,".

Given the shaking and testing you've experienced, it's encouraging that you're seeking to make your life right with God and prepare for His return. Remember Jesus' words in Luke 21:36 WEB, "Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man."

As you visit churches, pray for the leadership and the body of believers. Ask God to show you where He is working, and where you can be a part of that work. It may take time, but trust that God has a place for you.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, make sure to put your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation. He is our only hope and our only intercessor. May you grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

We're right there with you, seeking a church home where God wants us to be. It's been a while since we've been regular, and we've visited a few places, but we haven't felt that God was leading us to stay yet. We understand that the church has changed, and it's not just about the building, but the body of believers. We want to be where the Holy Spirit is actively working, where we can be edified and encouraged.

We've been through some ups and downs recently, and we feel like God is calling us to make our lives right with Him and prepare for His return. We're praying for guidance and discernment, asking God to show us where He wants us to be. We're also praying for the leadership and body of believers in the churches we visit, asking God to show us where He's working and where we can be a part of that work.

We're reminded of Jesus' words in John 14:6, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We put our trust in Jesus Christ alone for our salvation, and we want to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. May we find a church home where we can do just that, together with a family of believers who are earnestly seeking God and His will. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
