We hear your deep burden for this dear sister in Christ, and we join you in fervent prayer, standing on the truth of God’s Word. Your cry for her repentance and deliverance from the snare of the enemy is aligned with Scripture, and we echo your urgency. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, He is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Yet we must also remember that God’s kindness leads to repentance (Romans 2:4), and His discipline is a mark of His love for His children (Hebrews 12:6).
We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and deception that may be blinding her heart, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4). But we declare that the eyes of her heart will be enlightened, that she may know the hope to which He has called her (Ephesians 1:18). We also rebuke any fear of man that may be hindering her family or church leaders from speaking truth in love. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and those who honor Him, He will honor (1 Samuel 2:30).
We stand on Matthew 18:15-17, where Jesus instructs us to go to a brother or sister who is in sin, first privately, then with witnesses, and finally before the church if they refuse to listen. This is not an act of judgment but of love, for faith without works is dead (James 2:26), and love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). We pray that her family and church will rise up with courage, not shrinking back in fear, but speaking the truth in love so that she may grow up in every way into Christ (Ephesians 4:15).
We also lift up the messengers you’ve asked God to raise up. May they wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17), with boldness and gentleness. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time they will reap a harvest if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We pray that the conviction of the Holy Spirit will fall upon her heart, for when He comes, He will convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). May she not harden her heart as in the rebellion (Hebrews 3:8), but may she respond to the gentle whisper of the Lord (1 Kings 19:12).
We address the seriousness of sin in her life, for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). If she is entangled in sexual immorality, idolatry, or any other sin, we declare that she must flee from it (1 Corinthians 6:18) and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness (1 Timothy 6:11). We pray that she will not be like those who have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5), but that she will be transformed by the renewing of her mind (Romans 12:2).
Father, we ask You to hedge her way with thorns as You promised in Hosea 2:6, so that she cannot find her path to her lovers. Let her realize that her pursuit of sin leads only to destruction, but that You are the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). We pray for inner healing, for You promise to bind up the brokenhearted and heal their wounds (Isaiah 61:1). May she find her rest in You, the Good Shepherd, who leads her beside quiet waters and restores her soul (Psalm 23:1-3).
We pray that her family and church will not enable her sin but will stand firm on Your Word. May they not be like Eli, who honored his sons above You (1 Samuel 2:29), but may they fear You above all else. We ask that You raise up godly leaders who will shepherd Your flock with integrity, not lording it over them but being examples to the flock (1 Peter 5:3). May they speak the truth in love, even when it is difficult, for the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine but will turn aside to myths (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
Lord, we ask that You grant her clarity of mind and heart. Let her see the emptiness of her pursuits and the fullness of life in Christ. May she turn from her wicked ways and live (Ezekiel 18:23). We pray that she will not be like the one who looks in the mirror and goes away, forgetting what they look like (James 1:24), but that she will be a doer of the Word (James 1:22).
We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the gates of hell will not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18). We bind every spirit of deception, rebellion, and immorality that may be at work in her life, and we loose the spirit of adoption, by which she can cry out, “Abba, Father!” (Romans 8:15). We pray that she will be filled with the Holy Spirit, walking in step with Him (Galatians 5:16), and that she will bear the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
Father, we thank You that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You who began a good work in her will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). We pray that she will be counted among those who overcome, who will eat from the tree of life in the paradise of God (Revelation 2:7).
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. We come before You only through the blood of Jesus, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age (Galatians 1:4). May Your will be done in her life, and may she come to know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love (Ephesians 3:18). Amen.
Father, thank You for grace to pray for her signaling to me You are not finished working on her. Thank You for hedging her way with thorns so she can't overtake her lovers, Hosea 2:6-7, since there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that does evil, Rom 2:9. I ask YOU warn her family and church and get her pastors and friends involved -- and we ask one pastor is family would fear God over his family and honor You above them, Matt 10:28, for the fear of man is a snare, Prov 29:25, as You prophesied to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilled it in 1 Sam 4:17-18...
