Church elder in ### arrested for having a home church

Please pray for ###, a house church elder, who was arrested in June, sentenced to two years in prison, and fined $800 dollars. He helped start a kindergarten, which was not a Christian school since such a school would be illegal in China, that promoted Christianity in terms of good character: honesty, trustworthiness and other holy attributes. However the government officials had it out for ### since he refuses to conform to the "Three-Self" movement and he pastors a home church that is not controlled by the government. For this, the officials falsely accused ### of making a profit from creating curriculum for his kindergartners. During ###'s trial the court "disqualified" his lawyer so he could not even defend himself. May these officials be convicted of their falsehoods and deceit!

As a result of his arrest, the school was closed. But praise the Lord! The church remains. ### asks for prayer so that he can get back to his church as soon as possible. If you feel like you want to do more than pray, you can send ### a letter of encouragement while he is in prison and/or contact China's representative to petition his release with tools on the Voice of the Martyrs website.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Psalm 37:7

May I come to Know You, Love You, and Honor You with my whole life, mind, body, and soul. God all that I have asked of You in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of this prayer, and all those I love and care about. Thank YOU Jesus. Amen.”
