Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer concerning church discipline for the sake of salvation and the need to teach obedience to all that Christ commanded.
We have continued to bring your request before the Father, that we as His people would faithfully obey the Great Commission not only to go and baptize but to teach obedience to everything Christ commanded according to Matt 28:19-20, even when it requires difficult correction within the Body according to Matt 18:17. We have prayed that the Lord would give courage to speak the truth in love whether they listen or not as written in Ezek 2:5 and Ezek 2:7, remembering that our responsibility is to be faithful to proclaim His Word while the response to that Word is what will judge on the last day according to John 12:48.
We have also prayed that those under discipline would come to repentance and believe the gospel according to Mark 1:15, that heaven and hell being real places would weigh heavily on hearts, and that holiness would be restored for the protection of the community and the Bride of Christ according to 1 John 1:5-10 and 1 Cor 10:11. We have asked God to guard us from seeking the approval of men according to Gal 1:10 and John 12:43, and to strengthen us to overcome by the Word of our testimony according to Rev 12:11, trusting that He will give us a mouth and wisdom which our adversaries will not be able to contradict according to Luke 21:15.
