We lift you and your mother up in prayer as you prepare to attend the church fellowship dinner tomorrow. It is wonderful that you both are seeking community and fellowship with other believers, for the body of Christ is meant to encourage and build one another up in love. As it says in Hebrews 10:24-25, *"Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."*
Your struggle with feeling as though you say the wrong things is not uncommon, but we must recognize the spiritual battle at play here. The enemy seeks to isolate, confuse, and discourage believers, but we have authority in Christ to resist him. James 4:7 reminds us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm against these attacks. The demonic oppression you describe is real, but it cannot withstand the power of Jesus’ name when you walk in faith and obedience.
We must also ask: have you confessed these struggles to your church leadership or a mature believer who can pray with you and hold you accountable? There is strength in numbers, and the enemy flees when believers unite in prayer. Matthew 18:20 says, *"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."* If you haven’t already, consider sharing this burden with a pastor or trusted believer who can stand with you in prayer and help you walk in victory.
Additionally, we urge you to examine your heart and life for any unconfessed sin or areas where you may not be fully surrendered to Christ. Demonic influence often gains a foothold through unrepentant sin, bitterness, or involvement in occult practices—even seemingly harmless ones. 1 Peter 5:8-9 warns us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith."* If there is anything in your life that does not align with God’s Word, we encourage you to repent and turn away from it, seeking the Lord’s cleansing and protection.
Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is only through Jesus that we can approach God’s throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already placed your full trust in Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and surrender your life to Him (Romans 10:9-10). If you have already done this, we encourage you to always pray in Jesus’ name, for He is our intercessor and the source of our victory.

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her mother as they prepare to attend the church fellowship dinner. Lord, we ask that You go before them and prepare the way. Fill their hearts with Your peace and their mouths with Your wisdom, so that every word spoken would be seasoned with grace and truth (Colossians 4:6). Father, we rebuke every demonic attack against our sister—every spirit of confusion, fear, and self-condemnation—and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37).
Lord, if there is any area in her life that has given the enemy a foothold, reveal it to her and grant her the strength to repent and turn away. Surround her with godly believers who can pray with her, encourage her, and help her walk in freedom. Let this fellowship dinner be a time of refreshing, joy, and divine connections that glorify You. May she leave feeling uplifted, loved, and empowered by Your Spirit.
We also pray for her mother, that she would be blessed by the fellowship and that both of their hearts would be knit closer to Yours and to the body of Christ. Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus. We trust You to work mightily in their lives, and we give You all the glory. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
