Thank you for bringing this matter to us in prayer. We understand your desire for your daughter to attend church camp and experience the life-changing power of God in her life. However, let's remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB).
Firstly, it's important to encourage your daughter to trust in the Lord with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding. She should not depend on her friend's presence to experience God's goodness and blessings at the camp (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). God can work in her heart even if her friend does not attend.
However, we will still pray that if it is God's will, a place will open up for her friend to attend the camp. But let's also pray that even if this does not happen, your daughter will still choose to go and trust that God has a wonderful plan for her there.
Let's pray:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this daughter and her friend to You. Lord, if it is Your will, please open a door for the friend to attend the church camp. But above all, we pray that Your will be done and that both girls draw close to You.
We pray that You give this daughter the courage and willingness to attend the camp regardless of her friend's attendance. We trust that You have a amazing plan for her at the camp. We claim your promise that You will never leave her nor forsake her, God (Hebrews 13:5, WEB).
Lastly, Father, we pray for her baptism afterwards. We pray that she makes a public declaration of her faith in Jesus Christ, that she is buried with him in baptism, in which she is also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead (Colossians 2:12, WEB). We pray for a renewed and transformed life for her as she takes this step of faith.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, trusting in His power and love. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to talk to your daughter about the importance of making decisions that honor God, even when they may be difficult. Remind her that God is always with her, and He can use any circumstance for her good (Romans 8:28, WEB).
Also, we notice that Jesus was not specifically mentioned. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father. It is only through Jesus that we are saved. We encourage you to be specific and direct in mentioning the name of Jesus in your prayers and all requests.
