Chronic migraines

Windwold

Beloved of All
Please pray for healing and relief from chronic migraines with nausea and eye pain, thank you kindly in Jesus' name, Amen

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of chronic migraines with nausea and eye pain. Father, we know that You see every tear and hear every groan of Your children in their suffering. The pain described here is not just physical but wears on the spirit, making even the simplest tasks feel impossible. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to bring relief and restoration.

We declare Your word over this situation, remembering James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We pray for complete healing, mind, body, and spirit, so that this suffering may be replaced with Your peace and strength. Father, we also ask for wisdom for doctors and medical professionals involved, that they may be guided by Your hand in diagnosis and treatment.

We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to steal joy, peace, and productivity. In the name of Jesus, we command this pain to cease and for the body to be made whole. We trust in Your goodness, Lord, knowing that You are the Great Physician who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4-5). May this time of trial draw this dear one closer to You, deepening their faith and dependence on Your unfailing love.

We also pray for endurance and patience during this season. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with Your presence, filling their heart with hope even in the midst of pain. May they experience Your comfort in tangible ways, through the love of family, friends, and the body of Christ.

Lord, we thank You for the power in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before You. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We stand firm in this truth, believing that through Christ, all things are possible. We trust You for a miracle, whether it comes through divine intervention, medical breakthrough, or a combination of both. Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your timing is perfect.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Healer, Redeemer, and Lord. Amen.

We're so grateful you reached out and gave us the privilege of praying with you about these migraines. Living with chronic pain, especially when nausea and eye pain are part of it, can wear a person down in body and spirit. We want you to know you're not carrying this alone, we're truly asking the Lord for your relief.

When pain doesn't let up, it can feel like a fog that steals moments of peace and makes the simplest tasks a mountain to climb. Jesus doesn't look away from that. He walked through weariness and physical suffering himself, so He understands yours perfectly. He invites you to keep bringing the ache to Him, even on the days when your only prayer is a whisper of "Help me."

If you haven't already, we'd gently encourage you to also see a doctor, perhaps a headache specialist. That's not a substitute for prayer but a way God often provides wisdom and help through medicine. With eye pain involved, a professional can help rule out anything that needs attention and may offer treatments that make a real difference. We'll pray for clear guidance for your doctors, too.

As we pray, we hold onto this: healing is in God's hands, and even when the relief we long for comes slowly, He remains near. We ask not only for the pain to lift but for calm in your mind and strength for each day until it does.

Jesus, we ask You to touch this dear one with Your healing mercy. Quiet the migraines, soothe the nausea, and ease the eye pain. Give rest when sleep is hard and hope when it feels endless. Surround them with Your steady presence and let them know they are held. We trust You, our Healer, and we ask all of this in Your name. Amen.

The ache settles behind your eyes like a heavy fog, and the nausea rises, and you wonder if relief will ever come. I would not offer you neat explanations or tidy reasons for why this affliction clings so close. I would only remind you that your Savior does not stand aloof from the sickroom. He who entered Peter’s little house and found it a hospital before He made it a palace, He is not frightened away by your pain. Where the fever burns, the Great Physician has come.

You have cried to Him, and He has heard. You may feel that your prayers rise no higher than the ceiling, but they reach the throne. Our Lord’s power is mainly a power to heal. He did not come to destroy but to save; not to crush the bruised reed, but to bind it up. That same gentle hand which touched the paralyzed man and said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you,” is upon you now in this dark hour. He knows how tired you are. He knows how the light stabs and the stomach churns. He is not impatient with your weakness. He Himself bore our sicknesses, and His heart is a sympathetic heart.

Think of this: the God who keeps you as the apple of His eye knows every throb, every searing flash behind the lid. The apple of the eye is the tenderest part, the part we guard most instinctively. So the Lord shields you. He does not sleep. He does not turn away. Even when sleep flees from you, He remains. You may lie in the dark and whisper His name, and He is nearer than your own breath.

Your suffering is not a mark of His displeasure. Some saintliest souls I have known have been long acquainted with pain, and in them the image of Christ grew bright through the furnace. Not because pain is good in itself, but because it drives us again and again to Him who carries all our griefs. Every migraine that sends you to His feet is another clasp of His hand in the darkness. You are not forgotten. You are not overlooked. The Lord’s healing may come in a moment, or it may come by slow degrees, or it may come in the fullness of that day when there shall be no more pain. But come it will, for Christ has purchased the full redemption of your body as surely as of your soul.

For now, lean hard upon Him. Let each wave of nausea be a call to prayer. Let the eye pain teach you to look inward to the face of Jesus, which one day you shall see without any veil. He gives grace sufficient. He gives patience to endure. He gives Himself, and that is enough.

Let us pray.

Lord Jesus, our Beloved Physician, look now upon this suffering one. Lay Your hand upon the throbbing brow and quiet the troubled frame. Rebuke this pain, for You have power over every malady. Grant release, grant rest, grant the sweet calm that only You can give. And in the waiting time, be near, so near that no darkness can hide Your face. Hold Your child close, and let Your strength be made perfect in weakness. We trust You for healing here, and for the day when all sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
