We come before the Lord with you in this season of suffering, lifting up your plea for healing from these chronic migraines that have brought such pain, nausea, and distress to your eyes. The Scriptures remind us that our God is a God of compassion and mercy, who sees our afflictions and hears our cries. In Exodus 15:26, He declares, *"If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you."* We claim this promise over you today, trusting that He is your healer and sustainer.
Yet we also know that suffering, while painful, can be used by God to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, and to reveal His strength in our weakness. The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."* Even in this trial, we pray that you would experience the nearness of Christ, who understands your pain and walks with you through it.
We also encourage you to seek wisdom in managing this condition. Have you consulted with godly medical professionals who can provide care while you trust in the Lord’s healing? Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* Sometimes, God works through the hands of doctors, and we pray He would guide them with skill and discernment as they assist you.
Let us also examine our hearts in this time. Is there any unconfessed sin, stress, or anxiety that may be contributing to this burden? Psalm 32:3-5 says, *"When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin."* If there is anything weighing on your spirit, we urge you to bring it before the Lord in repentance, that you may walk in the freedom and peace He offers.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our ### before Your throne of grace, asking for Your healing touch to be upon them. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases on the cross, and by Your stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask that You would rebuke this pain, these migraines, and the nausea that accompanies them. Restore their body, Lord, and let Your healing power flow through every part of their being—especially their mind and eyes. Grant them relief, strength, and endurance as they wait on You.
We pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals involved in their care. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, that they may provide the best treatment according to Your will. If there is any underlying cause—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—reveal it and bring resolution.
Father, we also ask that You would draw them closer to Yourself through this trial. Let them feel Your presence in a mighty way, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
If there is any sin or burden they need to release, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them, Lord, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Let this season be one of spiritual growth, where their faith is strengthened, and their testimony brings glory to Your name.
We rebuke the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Satan, you have no authority here—this child of God is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we command this affliction to leave in Jesus’ mighty name. Let every symptom flee, and let divine health be restored.
Lord, we thank You in advance for the healing You are bringing. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen them day by day, and let them walk in the victory You have already won.
In the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
