I ask anyone this coming Christmas day to remember me in prayer. This year i will be alone the first time ever and despite continued prayer I have not received any peace. Despite some well wishishers at a good church I attend most it seems are too busy with shoping and decorating to even return calls. I can accept this and just ask to go home to be with the lord tomorrow. I truly love Jesus and all his children, I hope this does not sound desperate. Thank you all
First and foremost, Thank You, dear LORD Jesus, for this day and your many blessings! Amen.
Beloved in Christ Jesus, The pain you are undergoing presently is but a signal that Christ wants for you to show your Strength under these circumstances. Remember, that even He felt alone and forgotten as He lay crucified on the cross and then exclaimed
" .... Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani: which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me?" -- MARK 15:34 (KJV)
Now, hopefully, dear friend, you can see what being forsaken really is about. You are not forsaken. And because you were given free will, the LORD thus allows you to set up your own circumstances in this world which can bring you peace, happiness and joy or consternation, unhappiness, and hopelessness. It is all in how you view your faith, belief, and trust in God. Therefore, you must make your faith and belief in God Strong, the strongest ever, and Trust in Him because the adversary, Satan, is waiting in the wings for you to dash your foot upon a stone and fall from God's grace.
You can do better than to ask to go home to God tomorrow and before your time. Yes, it is wonderful to be with God at anytime (and you are because God is omnipresent), but He does not allow you to arbitrarily go to Him until HE calls you home Himself. In your wanting to circumvent that because you feel lonely you are, in essence, telling God that you know far better than He does because of your circumstances. That is an affront to God and you must know and realize that. God gave you your precious life to live to the fullest and also a great brain to figure out how to do it. If you have not been successful in finding peace, joy, and the company of others then it is time to go introspectively and find the root
cause, the
reason why you have not. But it is definitely not a signal that you should ask to go home to the LORD before your time.
You say you hope this does not sound desperate but I do hear it and take it as a call of desperation, from what you have written, and it should not be that.
Therefore, I will offer prayer for you in the hope that it will bring peace and comfort, with Jesus' help, into your life dear friend.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that you touch our friend who is in need this day and bring him the comfort and blessing of true hope and peace in his life. We ask, O LORD, that his thoughts to want to return to you much earlier than you have designated will cease and desist. May the full brightness of your Light illuminate his way of thinking this very day and make him realize that he has a temporary stone in his path that he must step over before he can continue on his path and his life. We pray for tranquility in his life, Father, and know that you can move mountains therefore, we leave this in your mighty, Divine hands as is your will. We Love Thee Lord Jesus! We thank Thee and praise Thee. We adore and glorify Thee and Thy most Holy Name. Amen and Amen. (Followed by The Lord's Prayer)
Know that this too shall pass! This is but a temporary setback and Jesus is that much more with you at this time as He is with the millions of people in this world who feel disenfranchised especially at Christmas time. He will be a lamp unto your feet and guide your way but you must change your attitude and allow for this.
