Christianity

We hear your heart’s desire to maintain a relationship and win someone’s heart, and we lift this before the Lord with both compassion and biblical truth. First, we must address the foundation of any relationship, it must be rooted in Christ. If this person is not a believer, we urge you to prayerfully consider whether pursuing a relationship with them aligns with God’s will. The Bible is clear: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If they do not know Jesus, our priority must be their salvation, not romantic attachment.

If this is a courtship with a fellow believer, we rejoice in that! But we must also examine the motives of your heart. Are you seeking this person’s affection out of loneliness, insecurity, or a desire to control the outcome? Or are you trusting God’s timing and sovereignty? "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). This does not mean God will give you this person, but that He will align your desires with His perfect will.

If this relationship involves sin, such as premarital intimacy, emotional dependency outside of marriage, or any form of manipulation, we must rebuke that in Jesus’ name. "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). Repentance and purity must come first, for the Lord’s blessing cannot rest on disobedience.

We also remind you that winning someone’s heart is not about strategies or human effort, but about surrendering to God’s plan. If this person is meant to be your spouse, the Lord will confirm it in His time. If not, He has someone even better prepared for you. Trust in His faithfulness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking for Your wisdom and discernment. If this relationship is not of You, we ask that You close the door and redirect hearts according to Your will. If it is Your will, we pray for Your blessing and guidance, that both individuals would seek You first and honor You in their conduct.

Father, we repent of any impure motives or actions in this relationship. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness and help us to walk in holiness. If there has been sexual sin, we ask for Your forgiveness and strength to flee temptation. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against this relationship, or any relationship under Your will, shall prosper, but we also declare that no relationship outside of Your will shall stand.

We pray for this person’s heart, that they would come to know You more deeply if they do not already. Soften their heart to receive Your love and truth. And for the one praying, Lord, fill them with Your peace and contentment, knowing that You hold their future. May they trust in You alone, not in their own plans or desires.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We hear the ache behind your request, that longing to hold a relationship together and to see someone’s heart truly drawn to you. It’s a vulnerable place to be, and we’re grateful you’ve asked us to pray with you.

When we care deeply about a relationship, it’s easy to fixate on what the other person will do or feel. But the most lasting ground we can stand on is our own heart’s posture before Christ. A relationship isn’t maintained primarily by our efforts alone, it’s sustained as we keep bringing our fears and hopes to the One who made the heart and knows its deepest places. Winning another’s heart is never something we can force; it grows best in an environment of patience, kindness, and trust, qualities that the Holy Spirit cultivates in us as we abide in Him.

We don’t know the specific details of your situation, but we do know that God sees you fully and cares about the desires that weigh on you. As you pray for this person and for the relationship, invite the Lord to search your own heart, too. Let Him shape your motives, heal any unspoken hurts, and fill you with His steady love, so that whatever happens, your peace isn’t anchored in another person’s response, but in Christ.

Please join us as we pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one who longs for a relationship to flourish and a heart to be won. You see the love, the hope, and the fear. Calm what is anxious, and replace it with trust in Your good timing and wisdom. Guard them from grasping or striving, and instead deepen their own connection to You, the only source of lasting love. Guide their steps, give them discernment, and if it is Your will, soften the heart of the one they care for. But more than anything, let Your will be done, and let Your name be honored in this season. We ask in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

When the heart sets itself to pray for the winning of another’s heart, we do well to remember what manner of love first won ours. That love has always its jealous neighbor not far off, for where there is an intense love like that which glows in the bosom of God, there must be a holy watchfulness. You have found in your heart to pray this prayer, and that is no small thing, for David had to look for his prayer in his heart, and there he found it because his was a living heart, a believing heart, a serious heart. Yet search that heart a little further. The Lord may need to put that question three times because we have given Him treble cause for mistrusting us as to whether our heart is right before Him. Is this affection you seek something born of the Spirit, a spark of the eternal flame, or does it arise out of mere natural affection? The heart is so corrupt that love to God never did get there without God’s putting it there, and a love that He would bless must be a fruit, not a root.

Consider the time when His abounding love was declared to you. It was when you were in exile, when He had redeemed you and called you by your name. He chose you for His love and then loved you for His choice. And now, if He seems to withhold this other heart from you, might it be that He is jealous over you? Oftentimes the Lord Jesus Christ loves His people so much that He takes away those whom they love too much, that He may have all their hearts for Himself. This is not a dark shadow of a blessing unrealized, it is the tender surgery of One who binds up broken hearts. There is One who can heal that very ache, for He knows what it is to be pierced. Fall at His feet; bring your poor broken heart to the heart that was pierced by the soldier’s spear. I know what despair means, but there is hope for you.

Therefore, let this prayer be purified in the fountain of His own love. Do not cease to plead, for importunity wins the day, yet let your cry be that which suits every believer and every place: “Lord, help me!” Help me to love You first and wholly. Help me to trust You with this desire. Help me to be willing to take my son, my only son Isaac, whom I love, and offer him up if that is Your will. When we pray thus, we find a place of refuge. The future, after all, must be the grand object of the eye of faith. He may give the double mercy you seek, and if He does, you shall dance for joy. But if not, He gives Himself, and is not that heaven on earth? His children shall have a place of refuge. Therefore, pray on, but let your prayer be found in a humble heart, lying on the floor of your soul, put there by the Lord Jesus Himself. For He knows what He is doing with you, and He cannot and will not let you die. Is the heart right with God? Are you clinging to an idol, or are you clinging to the Cross? That is the question, and when that is settled, you shall find sweetest rest. The God of peace be with you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Time to go. Nothing matters anyway. I will probably wake up thinking about suicide again. How to do it. Don't want to wake up at all, nevermind thinking about suicide. Nothing matters.

Luckily I have left the faith as Christianity and Jesus is a hoax and firm on this decision. When I was in the faith he did not help so my decision to leave him also doesn't matter. And I must rebuke that Jesus is real where it is fake and caused a lot of trouble so he is unsuitable.
