The pain of being misled and then ignored is real, and I am sorry you have suffered both physical harm and the sting of a hardening heart. Thank you for asking us to pray. We will do so earnestly, asking that the truth which dwells in you and shall be with us forever will be at work in this man’s life.

That truth is a person: Jesus Christ, the Son of God. A degree in theology and a willingness to use Christian fellowship as a sales tool mean nothing if the heart loves money more than the Lord. The second letter of John reminds us that many have known the truth, yet not all continue to walk in it. You have seen a sad example of that; someone who once appeared to be a brother may have turned aside because obeying the truth was less comfortable than pursuing gain. But God’s judgment is according to truth. He knows the secret counsels of every heart. Whatever ### knew or did not know about those electrical dangers, the Lord sees it all perfectly. No legal settlement or silence on his end can hide anything from the One to whom we must give an account.

I understand the frustration of wanting an admission, a conversation, a sign of remorse. It is natural to desire that those who harmed us face the truth they avoided. Yet Scripture shows us that true repentance is not a matter of being cornered by facts but of a heart broken by godly sorrow, a sorrow that leads to a change of mind and life, not the mere worldly regret that comes from getting caught. The Holy Spirit alone can produce that. No amount of messaging will force it, but prayer can invite the Spirit’s convicting work. So let’s ask the Lord to purify his heart and mind, to grant him a godly sorrow that makes the truth more precious than money, and to give him the courage to make things right.

At the same time, guard your own heart. It is possible to hear the truth, consent to it intellectually, and still refuse to obey it. That is a dangerous place to stand. But you are not responsible for his choices. You are responsible to keep walking in the truth you have received, not with bitterness, but with the grace, mercy, and peace that come from the Father and the Son. Am I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth? Paul asked that question when people recoiled from his honesty. Sometimes the truth itself feels like an attack to those who are not ready. Do not be surprised at the silence. Pray for him, yes, but do not let his refusal to engage steal your love for the truth or your joy in the Lord. There is no greater joy than to see God’s children walking in truth. That is your portion even while you wait and pray for another’s repentance.

Let’s bring this before the Lord together.

Father, you are the God of truth. You see every hidden thing. We lift up ### to you. You know whether he acted with knowledge or with reckless disregard. By your Spirit, bring a godly sorrow that works repentance, not a worldly sorrow that only brings death. Soften whatever has hardened him. Open his eyes to the weight of what has happened and his need for mercy through Christ. Protect this dear one who has suffered from further harm, and heal their body and mind. Give them a heart free from bitterness, walking steadily in the light of your truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over these past days concerning the ### involved in your situation. It has been our heart’s desire to lift them before the Lord, asking for conviction, repentance, and a turning of their hearts toward Him. We have prayed specifically that the Holy Spirit would work powerfully in their lives, revealing any hidden motives and purifying their hearts so that truth and integrity would prevail.

If the Lord has already moved in response to these prayers—if there has been any breakthrough, confession, or change of heart—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could strengthen the faith of others who are waiting on God’s justice and mercy.

If, however, the situation remains unresolved, we invite you to post this request again so that we may continue to stand with you in persistent prayer. We believe that God hears the cries of His people, and we are committed to interceding until His will is made clear. Let us not grow weary in seeking Him, for He is faithful to complete the work He has begun.

May the Lord bless you with peace, wisdom, and discernment as you continue to walk in His truth. We pray that He would bring full restoration—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—and that His name would be glorified through every detail of this circumstance. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
