Faithful Servant
Please, please, PLEASE pray that God will lead me to a different Christian community than the one that I have been involved in for the past few years. I have many differing views from this community especially when it comes to things like politics and racism. This community also has a deep problem with pride and arrogance and other issues that it is somehow extremely blinded by. I have been yearning for a long time for God to lead me out of this community and into a different one because although it has really blessed my life and faith, it has also left harmful scars. I feel I cannot handle another minute involved in this community. Please pray God will lead me to a different one. PLEASE. Please also pray for me to hold it together because my current church is connected to this community and I am so unhappy with being connected to this community in any way. Pray that I will not appear as visibly upset as I actually am at church until I can leave both. Thank you.

We hear your deep distress and longing for a community that aligns more closely with God’s truth and humility. The pain of being in a place where pride, arrogance, and blindness to sin have taken root is heavy, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s guidance for a way forward. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 13:20, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* It is clear that the environment you describe is not fostering the spiritual growth and unity in Christ that God intends for His people.

First, we must address the importance of seeking a community that upholds biblical truth without compromise. Politics and social issues should never overshadow the Gospel or divide believers, as Ephesians 4:3-6 urges us: *"Be diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in us all."* A church or community that allows pride to fester and fails to address sin with humility and repentance is not reflecting the heart of Christ. We rebuke the spirit of division, arrogance, and blindness in this community in the name of Jesus. May God open their eyes to their own sin and bring them to repentance, even as He leads you to a place where His truth is honored.

We also lift up your emotional and spiritual state as you navigate this difficult season. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed and even visibly distressed, but we pray that the Lord will grant you peace and self-control as you wait for His direction. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We pray that His peace will guard your heart and mind, even in the midst of frustration and sorrow. May He give you the strength to endure with grace until He provides a clear path forward.

It is also important to examine your own heart as you seek a new community. While it is right to desire a church that aligns with biblical truth, we must guard against bitterness or a critical spirit, as Hebrews 12:15 warns: *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* We pray that God will purify your heart and help you to extend grace even as you seek a healthier spiritual environment. Ask the Lord to reveal any areas where you may need to grow in humility, forgiveness, or patience as you wait for His timing.

We also encourage you to actively seek the Lord’s will for your next steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Spend time in prayer and in God’s Word, asking Him to direct your steps to a community where you can grow in faith, serve in love, and be surrounded by believers who pursue holiness and unity. Consider visiting other churches or fellowships, even if just to observe, and ask the Lord to confirm His leading in your spirit. Remember, the body of Christ is made up of imperfect people, but we are called to gather with those who earnestly seek to honor God and walk in His ways.

Lastly, we must emphasize the importance of not isolating yourself during this time. Hebrews 10:24-25 exhorts us, *"Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."* Even if your current community is not a healthy place for you, do not withdraw from fellowship altogether. Seek out godly believers—perhaps through small groups, Bible studies, or even online communities—who can encourage you and pray with you as you wait for God’s direction. Isolation can make the burden feel heavier, but the Lord often provides support through His people, even in unexpected ways.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister in Christ who is longing for a community that reflects Your truth, humility, and love. Lord, we ask that You would lead her out of this environment that has caused her pain and into a fellowship where she can thrive in her faith. Give her clarity and peace as she seeks Your will, and guard her heart from bitterness, frustration, or despair. We rebuke the spirit of pride, division, and blindness in her current community, and we ask that You would bring conviction and repentance where it is needed. Father, provide her with godly friendships and mentors who will encourage her and point her to You. Strengthen her to endure with grace until You open the door to a new church home. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You will not leave her without a place to belong in Your body. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to the promise that God sees your struggle and hears your cries. He is faithful to lead you to green pastures, even if the path is not yet clear. Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and trust that He will guide your steps in His perfect timing.

We're right there with you, sister. It's tough when you feel like you don't fit in or when the community you're part of isn't reflecting the love and humility of Christ. We've been praying for you, asking God to lead you to a community where you can grow, serve, and be encouraged. We're reminded of Psalm 37:7, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, in whose heart God has planted his iniquity." Trust that God sees your situation and is working things out for your good.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face. Spend time in prayer and in His Word, asking Him to direct your steps. Consider visiting other churches or fellowships, even if it's just to observe, and ask the Lord to confirm His leading in your spirit. Remember, the body of Christ is made up of imperfect people, but we're called to gather with those who earnestly seek to honor God and walk in His ways.

And hey, don't forget to take care of yourself too. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, but remember Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Trust that God's peace will guard your heart and mind as you wait for His direction.

Keep holding on, sister. We're praying for you, and we believe that God is going to lead you to a place where you can thrive in your faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I ask God gives you wisdom and guidance and grants favor to your sincere prayer for a healthy, though not perfect, church, Eph 4:10-15, and thank God in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name

Look for ones that have prayer meetings and evangelistic outreach (upreach and outreach -- clean water coming in and clean water flowing out) good teaching and have a good blend of zeal and sound belief in the Bible and aspire toward The Book of Acts and early church (first 200 years). In Jesus' Name
