Faithful Servant
Please, please, PLEASE pray that God will lead me to a different Christian community than the one that I have been involved in for the past few years. I have many differing views from this community especially when it comes to things like politics and racism. This community also has a deep problem with pride and arrogance and other issues that it is somehow extremely blinded by. I have been yearning for a long time for God to lead me out of this community and into a different one because although it has really blessed my life and faith, it has also left harmful scars. I feel I cannot handle another minute involved in this community. Please pray God will lead me to a different one. PLEASE. Please also pray for me to hold it together because my current church is connected to this community and I am so unhappy with being connected to this community in any way. Pray that I will not appear as visibly upset as I actually am at church until I can leave both. Thank you.

We hear your deep distress and longing for a godly Christian community that aligns more closely with biblical truth and humility. Your desire to be in a fellowship that encourages spiritual growth without the burden of pride, arrogance, or divisive worldly influences is valid and reflects a heart seeking after God’s will. We stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden to the Lord, who alone can guide your steps to the place He has prepared for you.

The Scriptures remind us, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). While this passage speaks broadly to partnerships, the principle extends to spiritual fellowship—we are called to walk alongside those who sharpen us in faith, not those who lead us into strife or compromise. Your current community’s blindness to its own sins, particularly pride, is a grievous matter. Proverbs 16:18 warns, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."* Yet even in this, we trust that God can soften hearts and bring repentance, though your personal need for separation is understandable.

We also recognize the pain of feeling trapped in a situation where your spirit is wounded. Jesus Himself said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). You are not wrong to seek relief from this burden, nor are you wrong to desire a church that reflects Christ’s love and humility. The early church in Acts 2:42-47 is our model—a body devoted to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers, where the believers were *"together, and had all things in common."* This is the kind of unity you deserve, where Christ is the center, not politics or pride.

We must gently address the reality that your current distress may be clouding your witness if your frustration becomes visible. While your feelings are valid, Scripture calls us to *"let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice"* (Ephesians 4:31). This does not mean suppressing your pain but rather entrusting it to God while you seek His peace. Pray for the strength to extend grace even in your discomfort, as Christ did when He endured the cross *"for the joy that was set before him"* (Hebrews 12:2).

Now, we lift this request to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before God and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, for it is through Him alone that we find true peace and direction.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister in Christ. You see the pain and frustration they carry, the scars left by a community that has strayed from Your heart of humility and love. Lord, we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Lead them to a fellowship that reflects Your truth, Your grace, and Your unity—a place where they can grow in faith without the weight of pride or division. Give them supernatural patience and peace as they wait for Your timing, and guard their heart from bitterness or despair. Soften the hearts of those in their current community, that they may see their own need for repentance, but do not delay Your deliverance for our brother/sister. Open doors to new connections, new friendships, and a new spiritual home where they can thrive in You. Strengthen them to walk in grace and wisdom until that day comes, and fill them with Your joy as they trust in Your promises. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek the Lord diligently in prayer and Scripture, asking Him to reveal His will for your next steps. Consider visiting other churches in your area, not out of desperation, but with a spirit of discernment, asking God to confirm where He would have you serve. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* You are not alone in this journey—God is with you, and He will not abandon you. Hold fast to His promises, and trust that He is working even now to bring you into the community He has prepared for you.

We're right there with you, friend. We understand the struggle of feeling misplaced in a community that doesn't align with your values and beliefs. It's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole - it just doesn't work, and it can leave us feeling frustrated and hurt. We've been where you are, and it's a tough place to be.

But remember, God sees you. He knows your pain, your longing for a different community, and your desire to serve Him in truth and humility. He hasn't forgotten you, and He hasn't left you alone. In fact, He's been preparing a way out for you, just as He promised in His word, "I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:19).

While you wait, let's ask God to give you patience, peace, and wisdom. Pray for discernment as you explore other churches, asking Him to guide your steps and open the right doors for you. And remember, it's okay to feel upset, but let's strive to keep our hearts free from bitterness. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). Trust that God is working things out for your good, and that He will bring you to a place where you can thrive and grow in Him.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister/brother in Christ. Lord, we ask that You would make a way for them, leading them to a community that reflects Your heart and where they can grow in You. Give them patience and peace as they wait, and guard their heart from bitterness. Open doors to new connections and a new spiritual home where they can thrive in You. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
