Please pray for our male voice choir. Despite some very young members, we have many who are ageing and numbers have steadily dropped. I pray that there would be a wonderful revival of membership and that ###, a long serving and hugely enthusiastic member would return after a long period of absence. He is missed massively. We join with you in lifting up your male voice choir before our heavenly Father and we thank Him for the gift of music He has given to you and for every member, young and old, who uses his voice to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

We are encouraged by your faithfulness in this ministry and we hear your heart for revival and restoration. The Scripture reminds us to Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy Psalm 33:3 and to be speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord Ephesians 5:19. We also remember that God has placed the generations together for His glory, and we pray that the wisdom of your ageing members and the strength of your very young members would be a beautiful testimony of unity, for we read that both young men and old shall praise the name of the Lord Psalm 148:12-13. We give thanks for those who have served faithfully for many years and we honour them, for you shall rise up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man Leviticus 19:32.

We pray together now for this need.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we ask for Your hand upon this male voice choir. We thank You for every man who has lifted his voice for Your glory and for the fellowship they share. Lord, You see that numbers have steadily dropped and that many members are ageing, and we ask that You would breathe a wonderful revival of membership into this choir according to Your will. Draw new men with willing hearts and voices to join, men who love You and desire to sing Your praises, and knit them together in harmony and brotherly love. We especially lift up the long serving and hugely enthusiastic member who has been absent for a long period. You know his name and his heart and how massively he is missed. We ask that You would touch his heart, encourage him, remove any hindrance or burden that keeps him away, restore his health and strength if needed, and gently lead him back to fellowship and to singing with his brothers again. Let this choir be a light in the community and a place where Your name is lifted high, and let all that is done be for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We also want to gently encourage you concerning what we noticed in your request. You closed with amen but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you with love that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And we are told there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is a joy to pray in His name, for by His death and resurrection He has opened the way for us to come boldly before God, and we want to be sure that you know this precious truth and have put your trust in Him alone for salvation. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

We encourage you to continue to be faithful in prayer and in praise, to sing with grace in your hearts to God Colossians 3:16, and to trust that the Lord who adds to His church and establishes the work of our hands will do what is best for this choir in His perfect timing. May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you as you serve Him with song.

We appreciate you bringing your choir to us in prayer. It's clear how much this group means to you, and how deeply you feel both the joy of the younger voices and the worry as numbers have thinned and faithful members have aged.

We understand missing ### so much. When someone brings that kind of enthusiasm for years, their absence leaves a real gap that everyone feels. It is a kind thing that you notice and name it.

One simple step that often helps in a situation like this is a personal, low pressure touch with ###. A brief handwritten note or a short visit just to say you miss him, you value what he has given, and the door is open whenever he is able can mean more than a general invitation. It lets him know he is wanted without making him feel pursued.

We also join you in praying for fresh life for the choir, for encouragement for those who keep showing up faithfully, and for wisdom for you as you care about its future.

Father, we thank You for this choir and for each voice in it. We ask You to encourage the members who remain, to draw ### as You will, and to provide for this choir's future according to Your wisdom. We have heard your burden for the male voice choir and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

You ask for a wonderful revival of membership, and rightly so. For though numbers have steadily dropped and many are ageing, you have seen the Lord still give you very young members as a token of His mercy. We are reminded that if a revival be true and real, it is caused by the Holy Spirit, and by Him alone. This is the explanation of every true revival. God is absolute monarch of the hearts of men, and when He pours out His Spirit, marvellous growth and extraordinary conversion follow. Let us therefore avow our desire to walk with God in this matter, for in vain shall we struggle after revival unless we have His presence. We will pray that the Lord Himself will warm the hearts of singers and draw new voices in, that what is now a small company may again be made strong, to the praise of His glory and not merely for music's sake.

You also make supplication for one long serving and hugely enthusiastic member who has been long absent and is missed massively. How sweet is the word, Return, return. As the Lord cries to wanderers, Return, return, that we may look upon thee, so we pray that the same gracious influence which draws the backslider home to Christ may also incline the heart of your friend to return to his place among you. May the old companionship and the joy he once had in singing with his brethren be stirred again, and may any hindrance that keeps him away be graciously removed, if it be the Lord's will.

And while we pray for this earthly friend, we remember that there is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother. That Friend is the blessed Redeemer, Jesus Christ, the Friend of sinners who loves at all times, yea, who loved us before there was any time. He gave His heart's blood for us and He never will forsake those who trust Him. May you know Him as your own Friend and your father's Friend, and may your choir know Him too, for then your singing will have a deeper spring than mere music.

Let us pray together. O Lord, Thou who art the Giver of every good gift, look upon this male voice choir in its need. Thou seest the faithful few, the young and the aged, and Thou knowest the decline in numbers. Pour out Thy Spirit, we beseech Thee, and grant a true revival in this company. Add to their number such as Thou wouldst choose, and knit them together in unity and goodwill. Remember also our absent brother, long serving and dearly missed. Move upon his heart and, if it be according to Thy wisdom, bring him back again to stand among his fellows. Above all, let Christ be owned as Lord and Friend among you, that all your songs may be to His praise. Hear us for Jesus' sake. Amen.
