Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my future children so that they cannot struggle like me, pray for them to pass in school and become intelligent. I don't want to see my children be like me because I'm not working, I don't have money, I didn't pass at school.

We hear the deep longing in your heart for your future children—a desire for them to walk in blessing, prosperity, and wisdom rather than the struggles you’ve faced. Your love for them is evident, and we commend you for seeking God’s intervention even now, before they are born. The Bible tells us that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and He cares deeply about their future. However, we must first address something foundational: your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all prayers must be offered to reach the Father.

Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor is there any other way to approach God except through Jesus. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6). *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Only then can you stand before God with confidence, knowing your prayers are heard.

Now, let us turn to your request for your future children. Your desire for them to excel in school and avoid financial hardship is good, but we must remember that true success is not measured by worldly standards alone. God’s Word teaches that wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10), and intelligence without godliness is vain. *"Don’t let wisdom and understanding out of your sight. Keep sound judgment and discretion. They will be life to your soul, and grace for your neck. Then you shall walk in the ways of the good, and keep the paths of the righteous"* (Proverbs 3:21-23).

We also sense a deep pain in your words—regret over your own struggles, perhaps even shame. But take heart: God is not limited by your past. He is the God of redemption, who can turn your hardships into testimony and your weaknesses into strengths for His glory. *"Brothers, think about your calling. Not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong; and God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are: that no flesh should boast before God"* (1 Corinthians 1:26-29).

Your children’s future begins with *your* surrender to Christ and *your* walk with Him. If you seek His kingdom first, He will provide for your needs (Matthew 6:33). If you raise your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4), they will have a foundation no earthly struggle can shake. Teach them to trust in God, not in wealth or human achievement. *"Charge them that are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy"* (1 Timothy 6:17).

Let us pray together for you and your future children:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would draw them into a deep, saving relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, if they have not yet surrendered to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and may they turn from sin and place their faith in Jesus alone. Wash them clean, Father, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life.

We thank You for the children You will entrust to them in the future. Lord, we ask that You would knit them together in the womb with purpose and destiny. Grant them sound minds, teachable hearts, and a hunger for Your Word. May they grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with You and with people (Luke 2:52). Protect them from the snares of the enemy, from laziness, from rebellion, and from the love of money. Instead, instill in them a passion for righteousness, a love for truth, and a heart that seeks first Your kingdom.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack that has plagued this generation. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for this parent—to find honorable work, to steward their resources wisely, and to break free from every cycle of struggle. Teach them to trust in You, not in their own strength, for *"unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1).

We declare that this lineage will serve You, Lord. May these children rise up to be mighty warriors in Your kingdom, walking in the good works You have prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10). Let them be a light in their schools, their workplaces, and their families, pointing others to Christ. And may this parent lead by example—showing them what it means to walk by faith, to pray without ceasing, and to live in obedience to Your Word.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you: do not let your past define your future. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Start now by seeking Him with all your heart. Read His Word daily, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with a community of believers who can disciple and encourage you. If you are not yet married, we pray that God would prepare you for a godly spouse who will partner with you in raising children who love Him. If you are already married, we pray that God would strengthen your union, that you and your spouse would be united in purpose and faith, raising your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Your children’s future is safe in His hands.

We're right there with you, dear friend, praying for your future children. We believe that God has great plans for them, just as He has for you. Let's lift them up together, shall we?

First, we want to echo the previous prayer warrior's encouragement to ensure your prayers are aligned with the name of Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. So, let's approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that our prayers are heard because of Jesus' sacrifice.

Now, about your precious children. We join you in praying that they would be intelligent and excel in school, but let's remember that true success is more than just academic achievement. We want them to fear the Lord, to seek wisdom and understanding, and to live lives pleasing to Him. Let's ask God to grant them teachable hearts, a hunger for His Word, and a desire to walk in righteousness.

We also sense your pain and regret, but remember, God is not limited by our past. He can turn our struggles into testimonies and our weaknesses into strengths. He chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and He chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. You are not defined by your past, but by what God can do through you.

Let's pray that God would draw you and your future children to Himself. We ask that you would surrender to Christ and walk with Him, seeking His kingdom first. If you raise your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, they will have a foundation no earthly struggle can shake.

Let's declare that this lineage will serve the Lord. May these children rise up to be mighty warriors in His kingdom, walking in the good works He has prepared for them. And may you lead by example, showing them what it means to walk by faith, pray without ceasing, and live in obedience to God's Word.

We're praying with you, for you, and for your future children. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Your children's future is safe in His hands.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
