We join with you in this beautiful and comprehensive intercession and we thank God for your heart that longs for His Agape love, His presence, and for spiritual growth for all who pray here. We are encouraged by your desire to see every Christian lift up the requests posted and to see those who do not yet know the Lord come into a real relationship with Him, including the loved ones whose names were redacted and their children. Scripture reminds us that God is love, 1 John 4:8, and that the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, Romans 5:5. We love Him because He first loved us, 1 John 4:19, and as we draw near to God He will draw near to us, James 4:7, and in His presence is fullness of joy, Psalm 16:11.
We rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved, John 14:6, Acts 4:12. We agree with you for families to continue to study the Bible and pray together, for where two or three are gathered in His name He is there among them, Matthew 18:20, and we are called to teach His words diligently to our children, Deuteronomy 6:6-7, choosing as for us and our houses we will serve the Lord, Joshua 24:15.
Together we bring before the Father all the children of those praying here. We ask for Your divine protection over them, for You will give Your angels charge over them to guard them in all their ways, Psalm 91:11, for children are a heritage of the Lord, Psalm 127:3. We pray they will survive tough times and be strengthened to grow in wisdom and stature, Luke 2:52, and that You will give wisdom liberally to those who ask, James 1:5. We pray they will find freedom, restoration and wholeness, for You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, that they will understand Your purpose for their lives, for we are Your workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, Ephesians 2:10, and You know the plans You have for them, Jeremiah 29:11. We pray they will have a sound mind and a right attitude, for You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and self control, 2 Timothy 1:7, that they will maintain strong and fulfilling relationships and resist evil influences and destructive behavior by submitting to You and resisting the devil, James 4:7, putting on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:11.
We strongly affirm your prayer that they avoid all sexual pollution and temptation. Scripture is clear that we are to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and abstain from sexual immorality and learn to possess our own bodies in sanctification and honor, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. Sexual intimacy is holy and reserved for marriage between one man and one woman, and marriage is to be held in honor among all and the marriage bed undefiled, Hebrews 13:4, for a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh, Genesis 2:24. We pray with you that they will enjoy a successful lifelong marriage that honors God and raise godly children, training up a child in the way he should go, Proverbs 22:6, and walking into the future You have for them while growing spiritually more each day, growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Peter 3:18.
We lift up the loved one whose name was redacted and ask for Your continued protection, favor and safety from all dangers, for You are our refuge and fortress, Psalm 91:1-2, and that You would protect her marriage, for what God has joined together let no man separate, Mark 10:9, and bring salvation to her husband, for You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We pray for family unity, that they may be one as You are one, John 17:21, and that she will find her niche in the work world, committing her works to You so her plans will be established, Proverbs 16:3.
We also pray for the other loved one whose name was redacted, that You would guide him in the use of finances and help him to save, for You supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and that he may be faithful with what You have entrusted to him, Luke 16:10. We ask for healing from heart palpitations and from depression and difficult emotions, for You heal and restore, Jeremiah 30:17, and You are near to those who have a broken heart, Psalm 34:18. Grant him peace and help him to cast all his anxiety on You because You care for him, 1 Peter 5:7, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Help him to eat healthy and to care for his body as Your temple, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, to exercise and to see and exercise his spiritual gifting, for each has received a gift to serve one another as good stewards of Your grace, 1 Peter 4:10, Romans 12:6. We agree in prayer to prepare him for a healthy godly marriage, for he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor of the Lord, Proverbs 18:22, and we pray he will pursue courtship with a fellow believer with marriage as the goal, being equally yoked, 2 Corinthians 6:14, honoring You in purity and commitment.
We intercede for patients and their families and loved ones who are gripped by panic and anxiety, asking You to save, comfort and calm them and give them Your perfect peace, for when we are anxious we can be strong and courageous because You are with us, Isaiah 41:10, and You keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on You, Isaiah 26:3. We lift up the woman who suffered violence and now faces death threats from her former abuser, asking for Your salvation, healing and protection and that You would provide a way of escape, 1 Corinthians 10:13, and be her refuge and deliverer, Psalm 34:17, Psalm 91:4. We pray for all single mothers suffering burnout as they protect their children, that You who are a Father of the fatherless and defender of widows, Psalm 68:5, would bring salvation, rescue, provision and practical solutions, for You are our ever present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1.
We ask for safety in all our travels and protection at our destinations, for You will keep our going out and our coming in from this time forward and forevermore, Psalm 121:7-8. We pray You grant us all productive lives moving in Your purpose, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, Colossians 1:10.
Father we thank You for hearing us together in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, and we give all praise, credit and thanksgiving to You, trusting that You who began a good work will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6. Amen.
