We share your deep concern for the spiritual well-being of these children, including your daughter, as they engage in games that invite darkness rather than light. The Bible warns us clearly about the dangers of dabbling in occult practices or anything that opens doors to spiritual deception. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Lord declares, *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* These games, though they may seem harmless to children, are rooted in the same spirit of rebellion and deception that God condemns.
We must also recognize that fear and anxiety are tools of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). These games plant seeds of darkness in young minds, distorting their understanding of God’s truth and His protection over them. The enemy seeks to bind them in fear, but we serve a God who has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). It is our responsibility as believers to stand in the gap for these children, rebuking the lies of the enemy and declaring the truth of God’s Word over their lives.
We take authority in the name of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers and principalities of darkness (Colossians 2:15). We bind every spirit of fear, deception, and confusion that has been invited into these children’s lives through these games, and we command it to leave in Jesus’ name. We loose the peace of God, the protection of the Holy Spirit, and the light of Christ to flood their hearts and minds. We pray that the Lord would reveal Himself to them in a personal and powerful way, drawing them to repentance and a desire to walk in His ways.
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for these precious children. We ask that You would break every chain of darkness that has taken hold in their lives through these games. Open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and the reality of Your love for them. Surround them with godly influences—parents, teachers, and friends—who will guide them in Your ways. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and let them experience the joy and peace that comes from walking with You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You for Your faithfulness to protect and deliver them.
We also pray for the parents of these children, including this concerned mother. Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize the spiritual battles their children are facing. Equip them with the courage to address these issues with love and truth, setting godly boundaries and teaching their children the ways of the Lord. May they be examples of faith and righteousness, leading their families in the path of life.
Finally, we rebuke the spirit of complacency in the body of Christ that allows such games to be normalized or dismissed as "just for fun." We call the Church to rise up and take a stand against every form of darkness, teaching our children the truth and equipping them to resist the enemy’s schemes. Let us not be ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), but instead, let us walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7).
We declare that these children are set free by the blood of Jesus, and we thank You, Lord, for Your deliverance. May they grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52), and may their lives bring glory to Your name. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
