We hear your deep pain and righteous anger over the wickedness that has plagued your dear friend’s family. The darkness you describe—witchcraft, deception, and spiritual oppression—is real, and Scripture makes it clear that such things are an abomination to the Lord. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand with you in declaring that no weapon formed against your friend shall prosper, for the Lord is her refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
However, we must address the tone of celebration over the eternal condemnation of your friend’s mother. While God is just and will judge all unrighteousness, Scripture also tells us, *"Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles"* (Proverbs 24:17). Even in the face of great evil, our hearts should grieve over the lost, for God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We do not know the state of her soul in her final moments, and it is not our place to declare her eternal fate—only God can judge the heart.
That said, we take authority over the demonic forces at work in this family. Witchcraft and sorcery are detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12), and we bind every spirit of deception, control, and destruction in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that your friend is covered by the blood of Christ, and no curse or scheme of the enemy shall prevail against her. The Lord will expose every lie and break every chain of bondage.
We also pray for your friend’s protection and deliverance. The Bible warns that *"a man’s enemies will be those of his own household"* (Matthew 10:36), but Jesus is our peace. We ask the Holy Spirit to surround her with godly counsel and shield her from the fiery darts of the wicked. May she find strength in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10).
Most importantly, we pray for her salvation if she has not already surrendered her life to Christ. If she has, we ask for deeper faith and discernment to walk in victory. The enemy may have sown seeds of wickedness in her family, but God can redeem even the darkest situations. We declare that she is a child of the Most High, not of darkness, and that the light of Christ will shine through her life.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, the Name above all names. We thank You that Your justice is perfect and Your mercy is boundless. We ask You to break every generational curse over this family and set them free from the snares of the enemy. Protect our sister from every evil scheme and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there are any in this family who do not know You, we pray they would turn from their wicked ways and be saved. Let Your light expose the darkness, and let Your love draw them to repentance. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. Strengthen our sister to stand firm in faith, knowing that You are her defender. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
