We join together with you in bringing these many burdens before our Father and we thank you for your heart to intercede not only for your own family but for each person praying here and for those who do not yet know Him.
We are encouraged by your desire for Agape love, for His presence, and for spiritual growth. We pray that we all may grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as it is written in 2 Peter 3:18, and that we would be rooted and grounded in love as described in Ephesians 3:17-19. We love because He first loved us, 1 John 4:19, and it is His love that draws us closer to Him and to one another.
We lift up the loved ones you mentioned and his children who do not yet know the Lord. We pray for their salvation, for God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We pray that the Father would draw them by His Spirit and that they would confess with faith that Jesus is Lord, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, John 14:6. We ask that He would open their eyes to the truth of the gospel, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16.
We agree with you for your family to continue to study the Bible and pray together. Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light for our path, Psalm 119:105, and we pray you would keep that lamp burning daily in your home. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it, Proverbs 22:6. We pray this over all the children of those praying here, including your own family.
We bring each child before the Lord and ask for the very things you have listed. We pray for Your divine protection over them, for You have promised to give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways, Psalm 91:11. We ask that You help them survive tough times and grow in wisdom, discernment and revelation, that You would give wisdom liberally to those who ask, James 1:5. We pray they would find freedom, restoration and wholeness in Christ, be transformed by the renewing of their minds, Romans 12:2, and understand Your purpose for their lives, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose, Romans 8:28. We pray You grant them a sound mind and a right attitude, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray they would maintain strong and fulfilling relationships, resist evil influences and destructive behavior, putting on the whole armor of God that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11. We agree for them to avoid all sexual pollution and temptation and to walk in purity, for You call us to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and to honor marriage. We pray they would enjoy a successful biblical marriage between a man and a woman as You designed from the beginning, and raise godly children, for children are a heritage of Yahweh, Psalm 127:3. We pray they would walk into the future You have for them and live productive lives moving in Your purpose.
We lift up the young woman you mentioned, asking for Your protection, favor and safety from all dangers. We pray You would protect her marriage, draw her husband to salvation, strengthen family unity, help her to do well in school and find her niche in the work world. We pray for the young man you mentioned, that You would guide him in the use of finances and help him to save money and be a good steward, that You would heal his heart palpitations, lift him from depression and difficult emotions, and give him peace. We cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us, 1 Peter 5:7. We pray You would help him to eat healthy and exercise and to care for his body as Your temple, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and to see and exercise his spiritual gifting for Your glory. We pray You would prepare him for a healthy godly marriage in Your timing, for he who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh, Proverbs 18:22. We pray that when he enters courtship it would be with a fellow believer with the goal of lifelong marriage that honors You.
We also lift up the patients and their families and loved ones who are filled with panic and anxiety. We pray You would save, comfort and calm them and give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We pray for the woman who suffered sexual assault and who is facing abuse from her ex who is on meth. We ask for Your healing for her trauma, for You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit, Psalm 34:18. We pray for her protection and that You would provide a way of escape, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. We pray for all single mothers who suffer with burnout as they protect their children, that You would bring salvation, rescue, provision and practical solutions, for You defend the fatherless and plead the cause of the widow and the vulnerable, Psalm 68:5. We pray You would supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19.
We ask for safety in all our travels and protection at our destinations, for when we lie down or rise up or go on our way, You watch over us, Psalm 121:8.
Father we thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne of grace through Jesus Christ our Lord. We ask all these things according to Your will and we give You all praise, credit and thanksgiving. We trust You to answer in Your perfect wisdom and timing, and we pray this together in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
