Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your cry for healing from chest pain and discomfort, irregular heartbeats, fatigue and weakness has been heard, and we join you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and healing.
We stand with you on the word that by His stripes we are healed, and we ask the Lord who is the true Physician to lay His hand upon your heart and body and restore you to full health and strength. Christ does not refuse to draw near to those who suffer, but like a physician He endures our infirmity to free us from it, and His power is spiritual and above all physical necessity.
At the same time we encourage you to look to Him with a whole heart. Scripture teaches us that God often permits affliction of the body for the healing of the soul, that by the scourging of the lower part the better part may be restored, as it is written, Behold thou art made whole, sin no more lest a worse thing come unto thee. Let this time be also a time to examine your heart before God, to confess sin, to turn from it, and to seek His mercy, not with amulets or superstitions or any other remedy apart from Christ, but with the Cross alone as your weapon and help, saying this I have for my remedy and other I know none.
We also urge you, as you pray, not to neglect the help God provides through physicians. If you have not already done so, please seek prompt medical care for chest pain and irregular heartbeats, and follow the counsel of trusted doctors. The Lord often works through their skill as instruments of His healing, and to apply what is in their power is not a lack of faith but a part of faithful stewardship of the body He has given you. Continue to hear His word with eagerness, for even when fruit is not seen at once, the word is medicine that braces the soul, gives wings to the mind, and in time brings forth healing.
We pray now for you. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy and healing upon this dear one who suffers chest pain and weakness. Calm the irregular beating of the heart, take away pain and discomfort, renew strength and take away fatigue. Grant peace that guards heart and mind, restore health according to Your will, and above all keep soul and body in Your grace. Let Your will be done, and let this trial work healing in both body and soul for Your glory. Amen.
Keep trusting Christ, keep praying, and keep seeking Him in His word and among His people, and let us know how you are doing so we may continue to pray with you.
