Dear Lord, we come before You, lifting up this individual who is hurting due to infidelity. We pray for Your comfort and guidance in this difficult time. We ask that You convict the fiancé of their actions and lead them to repentance. We pray that they would turn away from the other person they are involved with and return to a pure and committed relationship. We ask for healing and restoration for this couple, and for Your will to be done in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Infidelity is a sin against God and your future spouse. It is a violation of the seventh commandment, You shall not commit adultery. Even at this stage, there is a commitment that should be honored. God tells us in Proverbs 6:32 WEB, But whoever commits adultery with another man's wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. Though this may seem harsh and the penalty for adultery, it shows how serious this sin is.
Moreover, it is important to address the request for the fiancé to love, respect, and want only you. While these are natural desires, it's crucial to understand that true love and respect come from a heart that is surrendered to Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:25 WEB tells husbands, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it.
