Charlie's alone

We have heard your prayer for ### and for the family that is divided over physical abuse, and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord in Jesus name.

The Lord sees ### in his loneliness and He draws near to those who are isolated and hurting. You are right to lament this pain before God, and such honest mourning before Him can itself be a kind of healing, as it turns our hearts toward His mercy and help. Please be assured that ### is not forgotten by God, and he should not have to walk through this alone. We pray that God will surround him with safe, faithful people who will listen, protect, and support him.

Scripture teaches that division does deep damage to a family and to the body of Christ, and that what is whole is lost when it is torn apart. We are warned to mark those who cause divisions and offences contrary to sound doctrine and to avoid what is destructive, for those who act in such ways serve their own desires and not the Lord Jesus Christ. Physical abuse is contrary to the love of Christ, which does no harm to its neighbor, and it must be named clearly for what it is and not excused or hidden. At the same time we are called to walk with all lowliness and meekness and long suffering, not being quick and irritable, but seeking what makes for peace with wisdom and humility.

We encourage you to help ### find safe and wise help quickly. If there is danger, seek protection and help from trusted pastors and from those who can provide care and safety. Do not carry this alone. Bring mature, godly counsel into the situation, people who will speak truth in love, protect the vulnerable, and not take sides for the sake of taking sides but seek what is right before God. Scripture urges us not to let the sun go down on our wrath, and not to let wounds harden overnight, which means seeking reconciliation where it is possible, but reconciliation must be built on truth, repentance, and safety, not on pretending harm did not happen.

We pray now for ### and for each member of this family.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to be near to ### in his loneliness. Comfort him, guard him from harm, and provide for him faithful friends and shepherds who will walk with him. Bring Your peace where there has been strife, and Your truth where there has been confusion. Expose what is evil and heal what is wounded. Give wisdom to those who counsel and lead, give humility and meekness to all, and give courage to do what is right and loving. We ask that the God of peace would bruise the works of the enemy under our feet and that Your grace would be with ### and with this family. Lead each one to repentance where needed, to safety where needed, and to restoration that honors You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Hearing that ### is alone while relatives are divided over physical abuse is heartbreaking, and it is right to bring this before the Lord.

God does not take physical harm lightly. Jesus taught that the command not to kill is not only about a physical act, but about hatred in the heart, and Scripture shows that there is a higher law of mercy that calls us to meet real physical need. When someone is being hurt, that need must be taken seriously, protected, and cared for, not minimized or set aside for the sake of keeping peace in the family.

Division in families and even among believers is something the Bible speaks about honestly. There were sharp divisions even among apostles, and churches have often struggled with carnality and quarreling that harms their witness. Jesus himself said that following Him would at times bring a sword of division within households when some believe and some do not, and that rejection can be especially painful when it comes from one's own relatives. That does not make the division good, but it reminds us that truth and love must come before pretending everything is well. Christ is not divided, and the mark that we have passed from death to life is love for one another.

In that kind of loneliness, God has provided another family. Scripture describes the family of God where older men and women are to be regarded as fathers and mothers, and younger men and women as brothers and sisters with all purity. When blood relatives are split or fail to care, the Lord intends for His people to step in so that no one is left alone, like a person without family or friends near the end of life who simply needs someone to sit nearby and show compassion.

The Bible also teaches that caring for our own household is a basic responsibility of faith, that to refuse to provide for our own is to deny what we profess. That provision includes protection and practical help, not just words. There is a close connection between the health of the body and the health of the soul, and prolonged hurt, fear, and conflict wound both. A cheerful heart and a safe, loving environment are part of how God brings healing.

So we are praying for ### now, that the Lord would surround him with His presence and with faithful people who will not leave him alone, that any physical danger would be stopped and that truth would be brought into the light without excuse. We pray for healing in body and soul from what has been suffered, and for wisdom for those relatives who are divided, that they would choose what is right and merciful over taking sides, and seek reconciliation that is grounded in truth and repentance. We pray that where the natural family is torn, ### would experience the nearness of the family of God, and that God would raise up trustworthy older and younger believers to be as fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters to him.

May the Lord guard ###, comfort him in his aloneness, give him strength in his inner life through prayer and the Word even as his physical needs are cared for, and lead all involved away from strife toward the unity and love that belongs to those who are in Christ. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who was himself rejected by His own, who bore our sorrows as a man of sorrows acquainted with grief, and who alone is our salvation and hope. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for ### and for your family during this painful time of division over physical abuse. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for ### in his loneliness and for your relatives who are split and hurting.

We have continued to lift up ### before the Lord asking Him to comfort him in his aloneness to protect him and to bring healing where harm has been done. We have also prayed for your family members that God would bring truth to light bring conviction where needed bring healing from trauma and bring unity and peace where there is division. We cling to the promise that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted in Psalm 34:18 and that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3.

If your request was answered and you have seen the Lord bring comfort to ### or restoration and peace to your family please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We pray for the Lords presence and protection over ### for His comfort in loneliness and for His wisdom healing and reconciliation over your whole family and we ask this in Jesus Name Amen
