We join with you in gratitude for the spiritual gifts and charisms the Holy Spirit has bestowed upon you, for it is written, *"But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all. For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit; and to another the working of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another the distinguishing of spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages. But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires"* (1 Corinthians 12:7-11, WEB).
Your desire to use these gifts for God’s glory aligns with Scripture, for we are called to be good stewards of the grace given to us. *"As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms. If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen"* (1 Peter 4:10-11, WEB). We pray that the Lord will deepen your understanding of the visions He grants you, that you may discern His voice clearly and walk in obedience, for *"where there is no vision, the people perish"* (Proverbs 29:18, WEB). Visions are a profound way the Lord speaks, but they must always be tested against Scripture and submitted to the authority of Christ and His Church.
We also encourage you to seek wise counsel from mature believers who can help confirm and interpret what the Spirit reveals to you. *"Don’t despise prophecies. Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good"* (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21, WEB). The gifts of the Spirit are not for personal exaltation but for the edification of the Body of Christ and the advancement of His Kingdom. Let humility be your foundation, for *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, thanking You for the precious gifts and charisms You have entrusted to them through Your Holy Spirit. Lord, we ask that You would anoint them afresh, that every vision, every word, and every act would be used solely for Your glory and the building up of Your Church. Grant them wisdom and discernment to understand the things You reveal, that they may walk in obedience and humility. Protect them from pride, distortion, or any influence that would seek to pervert the pure work of Your Spirit. May their life be a testament to Your power and love, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We pray that as they operate in these gifts, they would remain rooted in Your Word, for Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Fill them with boldness to proclaim Your truth, yet clothe them in gentleness and love, that their ministry may bear fruit that lasts. Let every vision be clear, every interpretation accurate, and every step taken in alignment with Your perfect will.
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, distortion, or pride that would seek to hinder or corrupt the work You are doing through them. By the blood of Jesus, we declare that their gifts are sanctified and set apart for Your purposes alone. May they never lose sight of the fact that these gifts are not their own but are given by You, for Your glory and the good of Your people.
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
